Re: WW3 Countdown

Zelensky's PR stunts are backfiring all over the place now.

In retaliation to the recent attacks on Russian shipping in the sea of Azov Russia has now completely closed down the Ukrainian ports in Odessa.

The Russians tried to do this several years ago but faced universal international condemnation because of the need for Ukrainian grain shipments to the third world.

The Russians knew these ports were the main entrance way for arms shipments from the west but gave way especially because of Chinese and Indian protests of the blockade.

But that was then and this is now and not even Turkey is complaining when its ships get hit.

Yesterday 4 Indian seamen were killed in a Russian drone attack on the ship they were serving on traveling in the Black Sea to Odessa.

The Indian government protested and the Russians basically told them they could fuck right off and for them to keep their seamen out of the Black Sea, and if they don't like it they can stop buying Russian oil.

So Zelensky has lost the country's main route for arms and trade. Grain will now need to be transported out through Poland which will again cause protests on the Polish border.

This new change of attitude by the Russians should be taken seriously by the European leadership but I doubt they have the intelligence.

UK retired navy commodore Jermy was on Tucker Carlson recently war gaming a dispute between Russia and Europe and basically said what I have been saying, that the Europeans could basically do nothing because the US wouldn’t sign up, but he had the added step where the Europeans would through their air forces at the Russians that would be totally decimated by Russian air defence in very short order.
Back to the drone wars and there is no doubt now that the Russians have got on top of the problem leaving the Ukrainians desperate to keep trying to switch targets to try and find gaps in the Russian air defences. Currently Ukraine is still firing 300 - 400 a day but nearly all are being intercepted hence the recent lack of videos showing hits.

Ex Ukraine defence minister Fedorov’s drone campaign was never going to work forever, Russia has a huge air defence production capacity, Ukraine has none, and the EU just shipping in basic Chinese off-the-self drones was not going to work for long.

Meanwhile the Russians are gaining territory in Sumy and Kharkiv because Ukrainian troops are being redeployed to try and save the Donbas. Sumy local government officials want to be evacuated as Russian drones are busy destroying all the city's gas stations. This is to encourage the local population to leave and deprive the Ukrainian military the use of them.

Back to Iran and Trump has moved all his aircraft back further, most going to Israel after Jordan proved too dangerous. Now the US needs more air refueling planes to keep them in the air for the longer flight times to attack Iran. But overall there is still no clear plan from Trump.

The US has lost the use of all their Gulf bases and the Iranians have taken control of the Straits so what is the US to do? The US army and navy can’t move in without taking massive damage from Iranian missile and drone attack. Laughably Trump is still claiming the US destroyed that Iranian capability but doesn't explain why the army and navy are still standing way off.

So with the US air force impotent and the army and navy out of the picture, I am not sure what miracle Trump is waiting for except perhaps that he really does just want to light the fuse of a global economic meltdown.

You know the story, destroy western economies (that were going down the tubes anyway), the resulting civil unrest collapses liberal democracies, the old banking families (the richest people on the planet) seize power and introduce a new Chinese style authoritarian government that rules for the next thousand years.

Simple enough really.

Nothing says ‘we are winning' quite like sacking your defence minister and army chief on the eve of the most important battle of the war.

But Zelensky need not worry, his supporters, the European elite, are so heavily invested in project Ukraine there is no way they could abandon it now. Their reputations, their positions, their legacy, is so completely tied to the goal of breaking up Russia there is no backing down.

And besides, all Zelensky needs to do is hint at the c word (I mean corruption) and that apparently explains everything.

But the timing of this move is still a risk for Zelensky. When the new army chief loses the battle for the Kromatosk Slovansk conurbation Zelensky will share some of the blame because of the last minute swap.

Why not wait for when Syrsky loses the battle, then sack him?

I’m not sure, and though it is too early to put Budanov in the role as the frontline needs to start to break first I’m not sure why the new chap Drapatyi is up for the sacrifice. He’s reputedly the guy back in 2022 who flew his tank over the barricade in that famous video.

Incidentally, a pertinent quote from the Iranian foreign minister in reference to the Gulf states but the Europeans should take heed of as well (but won’t), ‘you attack, we attack back, and if you are participating you don’t get to sit in the audience’.

Rubio is to meet with Lavrov today, Rubio says that the 2 countries with the most nukes should be talking to each other - er, ok. Presumably talks will be about the US firing missiles and drones into Russia and so the Russians helped the Iranians destroy all the US bases in the Gulf and forced the US air force to bug out to Israel.

Interesting that Rubio is to actually do a bit of diplomacy for a change and that the US had to abandon the use of the deadly duo Witkoff and Kushner who the Russians won’t even allow in the country any longer.

Whatever Rubio proposes it seems likely to be too late. If only there was someone in some department in the US who was responsible for thinking through the potential consequences of government actions before rather than after, just an idea.

Meanwhile the Ukrainians have given up on their drone attacks on Moscow, and then the Crimean highways, and then the oil installations, and then the ships in the Azov, and so are now just trying to hit warehouses of the Russian analogs of Amazon.

Who knows, maybe depriving civilians of their online shopping deliveries might just be the final straw that brings down Putin - but I have my doubts.

Re: WW3 Countdown

Rubio met with Lavrov yesterday and it did not go well at all.

The meeting was arranged as both US and Russian delegations were in Manila for the Asiatic summit. The US asked for the meeting which gives a hint as to what it was about.

But the meeting lasted just 35 minutes which tells you exactly what happened.

Meetings between heads of great states that are planned well in advance can take days.

Meetings that are casually arranged where one side has a proposal to put forward to discuss can take hours.

Meetings that last just 35 minutes tells you that one side put forward a demand and the other side told them to fuck off.

Remember that it probably takes 15 minutes for the team introductions and the formal opening procedures.

So as the US requested the meeting we know what the demand was - for the Russians to stop helping the Iranians to drone and missile strike US Gulf bases.

What Rubio did not do was say to the Russians - look, maybe we can come to some arrangement vis a vis you in the Gulf and the US in Ukraine?

That discussion, even if no agreement came at the end of it, would still have taken several hours.

Another major clue as to what happened is that after the meeting the US did not comment but the Russians did.

Lavrov told the world that of course the Russians were in no way giving any help to Iran whatsoever.

A blatant diplomat’s lie with a deliberate subtle message.

That message was, we shouldn't be involved in your war in the Gulf but then again you shouldn't be involved in our war in Ukraine, so suck it up you hypocritical clown.

The absolutely astounding takeaway though is that the US still thinks it can dictate terms in 2 wars that they are obviously losing, obvious at least to the rest of the world.

That's one hell of a deluded group mindset that could well lead the US into doing something very stupid.

It's the mindset of morons who may believe that they can use nukes not just as a defensive posture against potential existential threats but can also use them offensively against non nuke countries to enforce compliance.

To which every country in the world will say ‘we must have nukes to defend ourselves or forever be under threat’, and they would not be wrong.

And to the little monarchy statelets of the Gulf set up by the British after the first world war to secure the West's future oil supply, though they later gained increased independence after the oil crisis of the 1970s and the forming of OPEC.

They are now crying they have had enough and are demanding the US invades Iran proper, note that all these rulers are currently safe living in New York and London.

So the US needs to decide now whether to go in or just allow things to stay as is with Iran controlling the Straits.

The US would still be able to offer Saudi and the Gulf statelets as well as Israel US military protection, they might need to offer a nuke umbrella until they get their unfit air defence systems to work but Iran should have no cause to escalate further if the US stands down anyway.

Trump in a recent social media post boasts of the limited losses of US troops in wars since WW2 but did not seem to realise that the US actually lost most of them - except like Venezuela that Trump listed as a war that lasted 1 day and was a win with zero US casualties, so the bar wasn’t really very high.

Trump must know that a proper invasion of Iran is the start of yet another US forever war.

Zelensky demands UN stops Russia attacking Ukrainian shipping in the Black Sea.

Ukraine has requested an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council and let's not worry about Ukraine attacking Russian shipping in the Azov sea. The level of entitlement that comes from living in a bubble never ceases to amaze.

Not only Zelensky but Europeans are joining in the protest to the UN with no hint of understanding as to the astounding level of hypocrisy they exhibit. These are the same people who were cheering on the Ukrainian attacks.

Worse still is that the UN has become so corrupted that they will probably come down in Ukraine's favour.

Maybe not, the UN did throw out the fake Ukrainian claim of the Russian massacre of civilians early on in the war. A UN decision the western media didn’t bother to report on.

And increasing realisation in Europe that once the Kramatorsk Sloviansk conurbation falls there is nothing but a short walk to the Dnipro river for the Russians. Which will no doubt lead to renewed calls to send NATO troops to save Zelensky.

Some are saying that Trump can’t just walk away from the Gulf war because of the risk of losing the petrodollar but experience shows that the rest of the world are generally happy with the status quo if it serves the purpose and is not being weaponised.

BRICS countries were happy enough using the Swift money exchange system until the US started to exploit it by threatening to cut off access to enforce compliance with US wishes which in turn has forced other countries to start up an alternative.

The same type of sanctions threats are happening to countries when using the USD to trade oil (the petrodollar) and so some countries are looking for alternatives.

The real problem for the US is losing the USD status as the world’s reserve currency which wouldn't be a major problem except that the US has spent the last 70 years growing massive debt.

The US weaponisation of Swift and the Petrodollar is encouraging countries to use alternative currencies in trade deals and so they won’t need to hold so many US dollars which will mean all those excess printed dollars will come home causing massive inflation in the US.

Military might is not going to solve that problem regardless of what happens in the Gulf.

Interesting video below on the oil futures market which is predicting oil at $70 a barrel by December.

Now that could mean that traders are expecting a quick and lasting resolution to the current crisis, but it really doesn't.

It really means there is the expectation of such severe demand destruction that demand will match supply more closely in December than it does today.

Interesting discussion on market manipulation, algos and oil trading in the video below.

Also contains updates on the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve (US oil reserves).

Analyst says that Trump has miscalculated the draining of the reserve so the dates for the minimum levels will be reached far sooner than expected.

It was thought that the ‘operational minimum’ (150 million barrels) would be hit after the mid-term elections but it looks now like it will be in 11 weeks, so before the mid-terms.

So now the Trump regime is saying that the minimum is not 150 after all but is actually 70 million. Haha.

The operational minimum is the point where actual damage will be caused to the underground salt caverns where the oil is stored.

So Trump is risking not only draining the reserve completely to manipulate the market but also the destruction of the whole US oil storage system.

Meanwhile the official ‘Congressional approved minimum’ will be reached in just 4 weeks but as congress are completely backing both wars anyway not much will be said about breaking that level.

Back to Ukraine and Trump has told off Zelensky (who works for the CIA) for drone attacking oil installations part owned by US companies in Azerbaijan that actually supply Europe with oil.

And EU number 2 Kallas who is cheerleading Zelensky’s attacks on oil infrastructure now wants to start sinking oil tankers in the Indian ocean. Genius. Remember that there is not just an oil shortage but more important are the shortages of oil products like diesel, and these shortages are affecting Europe even more than the rest of the world, so yeah - genius.

For literally years now commentators have been complaining that many of the actions of the elites just don't make any sense but at some point you must come to the conclusion they are simply working to a hidden agenda.

And where's that agenda taking us? To the collapse of western economies obviously.

In 1696 Isaac Newton was put in charge of ‘The Great Recoinage’ to address the problem of silver coins (the currency of the times) having been reduced in purity by 50% over the years.

Foreign trade was being severely affected and the English economy was sinking. The coins were called in, resmelted and reissued costing the government half its annual budget (don’t worry, they made it back in new taxes).

Today the US Dollar has lost 90% of its value since the Fed's inception in 1913.

So it's again time for a currency overhaul and digital money is being lined up, as is a swap over to digital ID, and Chinese style authoritarian rule, which is why the agenda stays hidden.
