Trump’s losing 2 wars but can’t disengage from either because there is too much pressure from the US neocons (democrat and conservative) and the Israeli lobby, as well as his own desire to achieve the end goal of the US controlling the major portion of the global energy supply.

And as energy equals wealth, controlling global energy would make US global hegemony unsurmountable for the foreseeable future, simple really.

But none of it is going according to plan, in fact it's all falling apart.

The US military has been caught lagging in the innovation race thanks to the US Military Industrial Complex being more concerned with increasing profits than meeting new challenges.

Research and development cuts into all those lovely profits so when the Russians and then the Chinese came up with hypersonic missiles the US MIC decided to take the easy route, tell lies and fake data.

They have in fact been doing this for a considerable time already according to the ex MIT Prof. Dr Theodore (Ted) Postol. He has been telling anyone who will listen that the data on the Patriot missile interceptor systems has been rigged from the start and now including the latest 3rd Gen Patriot data.

The first and simplest trick was to redefine what an ‘interception’ was. Hitting an incoming missile head-on with another missile is very difficult so better to just describe a near miss as an interception, maybe if the Patriot detonated then it would take out the incoming missile with shrapnel, you never know.

But in fact you can know if you choose to count from the available evidence, which Postol did. And he found that the Mk3 Patriot had only a 3% interception rate where the incoming missile was actually intercepted either directly or with shrapnel. This differs from the 95% according to the makers and 150% according to Zelensky (that last one was a joke).

And it seems that a lot of US military assets are not actually fit for modern purposes as was also discovered in the Ukraine war, take the Abrams tank which proved to be too big, too heavy, too slow, and too fuel thirsty for the Ukrainian battlefield.

For some reason the US military high command and US politicians are only just discovering that the US military is unfit for modern purposes exactly when they desperately need to use them.

And so Trump is now constantly being turned around, more war, get out now, more war, …, he’s currently spinning like a top with nowhere to go. The 4 hour Iran war became the 4 week Iran war and is now the 4 month Iran war.

What’s a man to do when he’s losing 2 wars at once?

When losing 2 wars at once why not join the 2 wars together and then you‘re losing just one. Obvious really.

And so Trump gives Zelensky the targeting data to use his drones to strike an Iranian tanker in the Caspian Sea.

Joining the 2 wars makes sense to Zelensky as well because his recent all-in drone attack plan that was supposed to bring Putin to the negotiating table on his knees has back-fired spectacularly.

Russia's response to the Ukrainian drone attack escalation on them of the last 30 days has been to totally blockade the ports of Odessa which is Ukrainian’s only access to the Black Sea where Ukraine ships all its export goods and receives most of its arms and ammunition.

Zelensky is so obviously losing his war that expanding it is the only possible path to avoiding defeat, it always was and so it was always the plan but the Europeans proved a dead loss and the Americans, it turns out, are not keen on another all-in war on European soil.

Meanwhile the US is preparing a new proposal to put to Putin this time an air ceasefire, so looking for an agreement for both sides to stop all bombing and drone attacks on eachother.

And so once again the US shows it has absolutely no understanding as to what is actually happening in this war (same as the other one).

Any kind of ceasefire is only ever agreed when both sides are exhausted and desperately need a time-out. But that is not the case in this war.

Or do the Americans think that the Russians will just give up their military advantage because they’re stupid?

Given that the Americans are constantly talking about ceasefires and the Russians are constantly having to say no the only answer is that it’s the Americans who are stupid.

The Russian missiles, drones and FAB bombs are doing more than 10x the damage the Ukrainian drones are doing, of course western media only shows the damage done by the Ukrainians, but at least Rubio and Trump should be better informed.

Lots of talk about mobilisations, Ukraine has a desperate manpower shortage, remember that the defence minister was sacked because he was favouring drone use but the reality is that drones can’t take and hold territory.

And there is continuing talk that big changes are coming after the Russian elections in September. In electioneering speeches Putin is promoting an agenda of speeding up the pace of the conflict and asking for voter approval, and is getting it.

Commentators are saying a Russian mobilisation (only their second since the start of the SMO) of some 300,000 new Russian troops is being planned. Remember that due to the Russian volunteer 2 year service contract system all of these 300,000 will already have combat experience.

And to the new Ukraine army chief Drapaty who’s first point of concern is not directing troops or visiting the frontline but is instead a thorough audit of actual troop numbers. Remember I relayed the story that Syrsky did not keep track of Ukraine army losses, seems that Drapaty realises he’s being set-up to carry the can for this shit show and wants to get on record first the actual size and state of the mess he’s inherited.

Iran probably just made their biggest mistake of the war in deciding now was the time to go on the front foot and initiate a first strike on the US.

They really, really should have taken a lesson from Putin.

The side that’s winning does not need to escalate unless it’s actually the final killing blow, and Iran is not ever going to kill the US.

Iran was doing fine and Trump was in a bind. Schizo Trump seemed to be on the cusp of coming to terms with the fact that his military doesn't have what it takes to force Iran to submit or to keep the Straits open.

And therefore the US military may as well pull out from the Gulf. Trump can say he stopped the Iran nuke bomb program so in essence it's job done.

He could have also kept supplying allies in the area with defensive weapons but the bases are gone, just too vulnerable to missile attack and most importantly gone too is the big naval base in Bahrain from which the US kept the … er … Straits open.

Which was part of their guarantee to keep the all world's waterways open for free trade which was the most beneficial aspect of the US petrodollar and global hegemony.

Even the Chinese wanted to keep that going for at least a while longer, themselves being a key beneficiary of safe trade sea passage, though their ‘Belt and Road' initiative was being built to decrease Chinese dependence on the US as well as to prevent US intervention.

Trump was on the verge of finally just walking away rather than start another ‘forever war’.

All the previous forever wars never had the global economy held hostage which means a forever war here, as good as they are for the US MIC and stock holders, will cause massive global economic damage. Iran may just have pushed Trump into it.

That Trump may have at last come to terms with the fact walking away was the best policy is seen in his low profile meeting with Netanyhu and Zelenky yesterday. Not even a presser afterwards.

The explanation was the need for decorum due to the funeral of Lindsey Graham but even so both these leaders came with demands for more war as they always do, and all they’ve got was a very muted reply which would have caused Graham himself to be spinning in his grave had he’d actually been in it.

The Iranians probably chose the timing of the funeral to launch the attack but now they may have forced Trump to not only retaliate but to expand the conflict.

Initially this could mean incorporating more of the US’s own proxies into the war such as Iraq where the US was already working on the government to expel pro-Iranian officials and there had already been reports of Ukrainian sleeper cells in Iraq performing false flag operations. The screws could also be applied to the Europeans and some Asian countries.

As said, Iran just made an unnecessary move that is likely to prove a very bad mistake.

Iran backed Shia militia in Iraq fire on Saudi Arabia. As in my previous post Iran may have unnecessarily inflamed the whole region by attacking the US base in Jordan.

Up until now the Iranians were playing the cool game of only retaliating against US strikes by x1.5 which was proving to be very effective and had Trump in a bind and needing to get out of the conflict as his top military men had just told him he was going to cripple US missile stocks if he didn’t stop right now.

After the Iranian attack on US bases in Jordan Trump was quoted as shouting “I’m going to bomb the fucking shit out of them” and presumably damn the missile stock pile.

The US does have money though and that goes a long way to pulling in proxies in the region, Iraq being an obvious one.

As said, Iran may come to regret escalating the war when they were already winning and Trump was on the verge of having to walk away.

The Saudis are now fighting Iran, and the Houthis, and the Shia militias in Iraq, the Israelis can rejoin the war at any moment. Kuwait is currently firing US HIMAR missiles into Iran. Iran (maybe) drone attacked a US LNG tanker in Egypt. The US has also been talking to the Kurds and the new Syrian leader they put in power even before this latest flare up. Meanwhile China just delivered 400 MPADS (shoulder-launch anti aircraft missiles) to Iran just to stir the pot.

Reminder that China has a strangle hold on the supply of rare earth minerals that are essential in the manufacture of US missiles which is another reason why the US is unable to up production rates at all.

Though there is unlikely to be any kind of invasion of Iran, there could have been stability in the region with a decreased role for the US and an increased role for Iran and a resumption of the oil supply. Now constant friction seems to be more likely for the foreseeable future and continuing major disruptions to oil supplies.

The US could have been prompted to walk away relatively peacefully but now there is likely to be an ongoing Trump desire for long term revenge.
