Re: WW3 Countdown
1632Trump orders Witkoff back to Moscow to restart diplomacy, then threatens Russia by ordering nuclear submarines to head towards Russia following a mean tweet from Medvedev.
Trump's now in an almost constant state of U-turning.
Vladimir Putin's response to Trump: "Disappointment comes from expecting too much, Peace requires real dialogue, not a spectacle for the cameras."
Alex Krainer has an interesting theory on Trump's switch to neocon.
He says 'what would you do if you knew the deep state wanted you dead, had already tried to kill you twice, and had in the past assassinated many heads of state including US presidents?'
He thinks Trump is playing a bluff, that his goal is still to destroy the deep state but must pretend to be with them in order to survive long enough to get the job done.
Krainer repeats Trump's words in important speeches that hint to his underlying agenda.
It's an interesting view worth considering, see the linked video below (the vid is an hour and a half long but Krainer's thoughts are in the first 30 min or so if I remember right).
Certainly a lot of Trump's recent actions look 'over the top' and contradictory as in the sending of Witkoff to Moscow.
He's not sending Witkoff to make threats, he's doing enough of that himself on social media. Shouting match arguments in the town square is not diplomacy, it's a show.
I've no idea what Trump is really up to myself, maybe 79 is too old and he's turning into Joe Biden.
But he is continuing to attack the deep state outing Obama's roll in Russiagate and now Hillary Clinton, these are key players and maybe not untouchable after all.
Zelensky said the west must seek 'regime change' in Russia, presumably by a decapitation strike considering they've already tried everything else.
Which was exactly what Medvedev was warning against and reminding the US of Russia's 'dead hand' automated retaliation system.
But Trump didn't seem to understand and ordered US nuke subs to move closer to Russia, so they could ... err, threaten a decapitation strike.
There is a sense of increasing urgency in the west and there is a good reason for that, the same reason that Russia feels they don't need to be pushed by the west, 'we can wait' as Putin said in his speech yesterday.
That reason, that everyone who has not been taken in by western msm knows, is that Ukraine is on the verge of total collapse militarily and economically, and because the inevitable has been delayed for so long, when it goes it will be sudden and devastating.
Meanwhile Putin announces that the Oreshnik missile systems are now being deployed ('to troops' according to the translation).
And, according to Ukraine Air Force data, Russian long range one way attack drones fired at Ukraine:
July/24 426
July/25 6297
UK ex military commentator Steve Jermy says, 'logistics is more important than strategy, Russia have got the logistics right, we haven't. So much so now that this war is unwinnable' (by Ukraine or NATO).

(Google translation from German)
»Never abroad«
An early indication has emerged in the archives of the Federal Foreign Office
that the current Kremlin ruler Vladimir Putin does not recognize Russia's borders.
The German Consul General in St. Petersburg noted that on January 14, 1994,
Putin repeated "with emphasis" what he had already told him earlier:
"Crimea, eastern Ukraine, and northern Kazakhstan—these areas at least—have
never been foreign countries for Russia, but have always been part of Russian territory.
No Russian should be made to understand that this is now a foreign country for them."
Russians feel nationalistic, which is "perhaps harder to understand" for Germans.
This comment appears in an edition published by the Institute for Contemporary History.
Putin was deputy mayor and was considered a reformer. At that time, there were
over ten million Russians living in Ukraine, and around one million in Kazakhstan.
He declared that there were "no problems" if their economic and social situation
was satisfactory. But that was not the case, which was attracting support
to Vladimir Zhirinovsky – a right-wing populist politician. The West would therefore
be "ill-advised to describe what is merely a justified pursuit of Russian interests
as a resurgence of Russian imperialism."

Re: WW3 Countdown
1635Trump says Ukraine 'lost' 8,000 army personal so far this year.
Maria Berlinskaya says Ukraine lost 325,500 army personal so far this year.
So a slight difference there.
Maria is Ukrainian and head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Air Reconnaissance Support Center.
300 a day killed, 750 seriously wounded and 500 desertions.
46,500 army personal lost every month.
She says recruitment is 20,000 a month so there's a net deficit of 26,500 a month, 318,000 a year.
Berlinskaya warned that if these trends continue, the Russian army could advance to Kyiv by winter 2025.
Trump says Russia lost 112,500 troops 'dead' since the start of the year.
Mediazona says Russia lost 121,507 troops dead since the start of the war (3 and a half years).
So a slight difference there too.
Trump got all his figures from Zelensky but you can get yourself into a real mess when you automatically believe the data from a source that has 100s of billions of aid $ riding on the numbers not giving the impression it's all a complete waste of money.
Reminder that Trump also has access to US intel who get the real data as supplied by Ukrainian intel chief Budanov.
The same guy who predicted months ago that, due to manpower shortages, the AFU could fall into chaos sometime in the summer unless something was done about mobilisation.
Trump knows full well he's just repeating Zelensky's fake news.

1636In fact, the difference between the data provided by Trump
and those from other sources is very large. Perhaps, it could be
that Trump provides the correct data, and the data from
other sources is distorted by the deep state Trump is fighting?

Re: WW3 Countdown
1638yeah, right, trouble is though it's Ukraine that has the overflowing cemeteries as proven by 100s of videos and satellite pics, the 40 to 1 body exchange ratio as given by both side's press releases, the kidnapping of people off the streets for the army, the huge rate of desertions as admitted by Kiev, the constant loss of territory, list goes on and on and on.wojtek wrote: Mon Aug 04, 2025 11:30 am In fact, the difference between the data provided by Trump

These are not the attributes of a country winning a conflict, they are exactly like the attributes of a country losing a conflict.
If it looks and smells like dog doo it probably is dog doo.
I have also heard ex military with contacts in US intel say what the real data is and that Trump really does know exactly how badly Ukraine is doing.
Re: WW3 Countdown
1639No one can deny that 2 of Ukraine's biggest supporters are Zelensky himself and US senator Lyndsey Graham.
Zelensky of course because of the 100s of millions of aid money that's routinely syphoned off to himself and his friends.
And Graham because of all the lobbying money and donations and dividends from investments from the military companies based in S. Carolina (Boeing, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, BAE Systems, FN America, Honeywell Aerospace to name a few).
As they look down on the corpse of a country slowly bleeding out they will surely shed a tear.
The hopes of saving Ukraine expired long ago, after that it became a mission of maximal extraction of anything of value in it's pockets.
Now Ukraine has no men to keep feeding into the army let alone repopulate the country.
The US is producing weapons and equipment at an inadequate dribble to sell to Ukraine and Europe neither of whom has any money to pay for them.
The western fanboys have dropped the Ukraine flags from their SM bios but there are still plenty of die-hards cheering on the corpse to keep going though none of them can now define where to or what for.
The chance of NATO surrounding Russia and forcing regime change in Moscow was always worth the risk of sacrificing Ukraine, except it really wasn't.
In the news Ukraine intel chief gave another interview recently and said that he collected stamps and had some from countries that no longer existed and that unless Ukraine became clear about it's priorities it would become one of them too, all very cryptic from 'I like the dark' Budanov.
Budanov has said in the past that Ukraine could no longer win a conventional war against Russia and needed to start 'asymmetric warfare' (terrorist attacks) to get results.
Meanwhile lost ground data for July set another new record, 563 sq km by Ukraine's own Deep State map but others put the total at over 660.
On the maps it's clear the Ukrainian fortified defence lines are thinning out as the Russians continue to push west and north.
Towns and villages are also thinning out as the fighting leaves mining country and heads into open farm land. The lack of densely packed settlements means Ukrainian drone operators have no cover and have moved further back greatly reducing drone time spent over the actual battlefronts.
The same lack of cover will apply to the infantry very soon.
