This is a typical Pollan indicator. They heavily repaint all the time, so arrows and alerts are useless (bothersome and fake).

1394I tried to correct, but I do not know the results ..Krelian99 wrote: Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:40 pm

1395Thanks for clarifying again. Just wanted to test but if that's the case then it's pointless.Krelian99 wrote: Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:40 pm

Re: MT4 Indicators with alerts/signals
1396No, it's not possible. mladen and other already looked over it at TSD times. It must repaint when you sum values of an indi with multiple periods. When candle closes and you go to next one, the whole calculation changes and let the result look pretty good - not perfect, but very good, but in reality it isn't.
Sorry, but I can't the 'discussion' about the Pollan indis anymore. Only the inventor was sure that it doesn't repaintMX01 wrote: Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:47 pm Thanks for clarifying again. Just wanted to test but if that's the case then it's pointless.
Re: MT4 Indicators with alerts/signals
1397Pacois' version does not repaint. But not sure what settings are good for any type of expiration. Seems needs an additional indi filter to know which signals to take.Krelian99 wrote: Thu Mar 22, 2018 11:19 pm

Re: MT4 Indicators with alerts/signals
1398True, it isn't a real Pollan indi anymore and this one calculates it for every candle correct and not flowingly (don't know whether it is the right word). The drawback is that the signal now lags a lot and in sideway markets you buy often exactly the ceiling and sell the bottom. This is a good example how an indicator changes when made nrp.MX01 wrote: Thu Mar 22, 2018 11:23 pm Pacois' version does not repaint. But not sure what settings are good for any type of expiration. Re: MT4 Indicators with alerts/signals
1399When it is so necessary to use this with old/usual indies, why cant a user select the best one from (Mladens-Mrtools) advanced with fantastic featured reliable CCI's,RSI's,and MA's and apply best settings individually that suits him/her and pick the open/close trade when all 3 telling same thing (open/close)Krelian99 wrote: Thu Mar 22, 2018 11:19 pm

Indicator is just a tool.
Use it only if it can benefit you. Leave it if you don't know how to use it optimally.

Re: MT4 Indicators with alerts/signals
1400There wouldn't be no nrp-discussion at all if so. You need time to identify a good indi and compare it with repainting indis or recalculating ones for purpose. The question must always be for what is the indi (and the settings) and what story it tells you - not what you want to hear. If guys come around with OB/OS on RSI, they don't understand the indi at all (yes, Welles Wilder suggested such a thing, but in 2018 we all should know he was wrong) and how should they know what to do with the market. A good trader may not always know how the price moves next time, but he always knows what to do. Therefore, you must know why the indi moves how it moves.mntiwana wrote: Fri Mar 23, 2018 12:55 am When it is so necessary to use this with old/usual indies, why cant a user select the best one from (Mladens-Mrtools) advanced with fantastic featured reliable CCI's,RSI's,and MA's and apply best settings individually that suits him/her and pick the open/close trade when all 3 telling same thing (open/close)
