Thank you for your views on religion, politics and history by a reminder that democracy means the people elect not a person elects and they elected Trump in 2016 & 2020 (before the vote rigging). Putin's interview with Tucker Carlson: the dictator was caught in a lie at the Center for Strategic Communications

On the night of February 9, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin gave a lengthy interview to the scandalous journalist Tucker Carlson. The former Fox News host promised to ask the head of the Kremlin "sharp questions", for which he had to fly to Moscow to visit.

The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security analyzed Putin's dialogue and repeatedly caught the dictator lying.

Spravdi emphasized that in 120 minutes, Carlson did not find an opportunity to ask about the war crimes of the occupiers in Irpen, Bucha and other Ukrainian cities, the abduction of thousands of children, the genocidal rhetoric and actions of the Kremlin regime.

The Center for Strategic Communications refutes Putin's main fake statements in this interview.

Thesis #1. The goal of the SVO in Ukraine is "the banning of all neo-Nazi movements"
Lie:

"We have not yet achieved our goal in Ukraine, because one of the goals is denazification. This means banning all kinds of neo-Nazi movements. We need to get rid of those people who leave this theory and practice in their lives and try to preserve it, that's what denazification is. . You know, as it may not seem strange to you, during the negotiations in Istanbul, we did agree that neo-Nazism will not be cultivated in Ukraine, including that it will be prohibited at the legislative level. This, it turns out, can be done during the negotiation process. And there is nothing humiliating for Ukraine as a modern civilized state. Is it possible for any state to promote the Nazis? No, right? That's all."

Truth:

"Neo-Nazism in Ukraine" is a problem invented by Russian propaganda. Moscow's habit of labeling all enemies "fascists" and "Nazis" dates back to the times of the USSR. Poland, Israel, and even socialist Yugoslavia experienced this at different times. By inventing "neo-Nazism" in Ukraine, Putin's propaganda tries to present our country as a legitimate target for aggression, terror and destruction (targets that are hidden behind the euphemism "denazification"). Propagandists such as Tymofiy Sergeytsev openly wrote about this. Meanwhile, not Ukraine, but modern Russia has turned into a Nazi state: with unlimited dictatorship, repression against dissenters, expansion into neighboring countries and the declaration of these countries as "fictitious and unreal." Putin's Russia needs real denazification.

Thesis #2. The war could have ended a year and a half ago, but "Ukraine gave in to Johnson's demands"
Lie:

"The fact that they submitted to the demands or persuasions of Mr. Johnson seems very sad. Because, as Arahamia said, we could have stopped these hostilities a year and a half ago, but the British persuaded us and we refused. So where is Mr. Johnson now And the war continues."

Truth:

The Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Belarus and Turkey in February-March 2022 did not reach an acceptable result for the parties. Moscow pushed Kyiv to capitulate. The only reason Ukraine participated in these talks was the dire situation at the front in the first weeks of a full-scale Russian invasion. However, the Defense Forces, which stopped the invader near Kyiv, freed Ukrainian diplomats from the need to submit to Russian dictates. In April, the gruesome discoveries in Bucha and other liberated towns and villages demonstrated what happens where "fighting stops" and Russian occupation begins. However, even after that, Kyiv left an opportunity for dialogue with Moscow: to stop the war on compromise, not imposed terms. The only condition of the Ukrainian side was that Russia refrain from further attempts to annex the territory. But Putin did not listen and burned the negotiating bridges himself.

Thesis #3. Ukraine was created by Lenin, and then again by Stalin
Lie:

"Soviet Ukraine received a huge number of territories that never had anything to do with it, primarily the Black Sea. But this is not important. What is important is that Lenin, the founder of the Soviet state, created Ukraine just like that. Romania and Hungary also have some territories were taken away, and they, these territories, became part of Soviet Ukraine and are still there. Therefore, we have every reason to say that, of course, Ukraine is, in a certain sense, an artificial state created by the will of Stalin."

Truth:

The newest Ukrainian state was founded not by Lenin and Stalin, but by the Ukrainian national movement — at the same time as Poland, Lithuania, Georgia, and even Russia itself, as a republic, and not as a possession of the Romanov dynasty, which it was before 1917. Ukraine was formed after the collapse of empires; within the territory where there was a Ukrainian ethnic majority (including the Black Sea region mentioned by Putin). Since then, its borders have not changed radically. Russian Bolsheviks did not create, but conquered independent Ukraine, turning it into another "Soviet republic". If Putin believes that "taking territories" turns a country into an artificial one, then Russia is the most artificial country, which throughout its history has been occupying foreign territories - from East Prussia to Manchuria.

Thesis #4. There is a "civil war" between Russians in Ukraine
Lie:

"Ukrainian soldiers were surrounded - this is a concrete example from life, combat operations - our soldiers shout to them: "There is no chance, surrender! Get out, you will be alive, surrender!". And suddenly from there they shout in Russian, good Russian: "The Russians will not surrender!" - And everyone died. They still feel Russian. In this sense, what is happening is to some extent an element of civil war."

Truth:

There are indeed many Russians living in Ukraine who are patriots and defenders of the Ukrainian state. This fact alone destroys the narrative of Putin's propaganda about the alleged "persecution of Russians in Ukraine" or that Ukrainian Russians are "waiting for their liberation" by Putin. Ukraine is a mature political nation that unites citizens of different ethnic origins and religions who live in harmony and mutual understanding. Therefore, it is not surprising that some Ukrainian soldiers communicate with each other in the Russian language (which, according to Russian propaganda, was "banned" in Ukraine). The phrase "Russians don't give up" is an established expression well known to people familiar with Russian culture. Therefore, it is not surprising that Ukrainian soldiers chose it for trolling Russian aggressors. The Russian-Ukrainian war is by no means "civil", because its participants have been citizens of different states for many years.

Thesis No. 5. The US needs to "just come to an agreement with Russia" and the war will end
Lie:

"Don't Americans have anything to do? You have problems at the border. Problems with migration, problems with the national debt. More than 33 trillion dollars. You have nothing to do. That's why you have to fight in Ukraine. Isn't it better to come to an agreement with Russia? To come to an agreement, already understanding the situation that exists today, understanding that Russia will fight for its interests to the end, and understanding this, in fact, return to common sense, start treating our country, its interests with respect and look for some solutions?".

Truth:

Russia and Putin regularly violate all agreements and refuse to fulfill international agreements signed by the leadership of the Russian Federation. By carrying out a full-scale attack on Ukraine, the Russians violated about 400 international agreements. Russia violated the Final Act on Security and Cooperation in Europe (Helsinki Agreements) on the inviolability of European borders. Russia violated the Budapest Memorandum, according to which it, as well as the United States and Great Britain, undertook to be guarantors of Ukraine's security in exchange for the transfer of Ukraine's nuclear arsenal to Russia. Russia has violated the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership, on the Ukrainian-Russian state border, on the use of the Seas of Azov and the Black Sea, and hundreds of other treaties with Ukraine. Russia uses international agreements as a weapon against those states with which it concludes them and plays an unfair game. To come to an agreement with Russia at the expense of Ukraine is to free Putin's hands for an even bigger and more terrible war in Europe and on other continents.

What questions did Carlson "forget" to ask Putin
About the blocking of American social networks in the Russian Federation, in particular X (Twitter), on which this interview was published. This is a violation of freedom of speech.
About the persecution of Protestants in Russia. Since 2017, the activities of Jehovah's Witnesses have been banned in the Russian Federation. Protestant preachers and believers have been kidnapped, tortured, robbed, and killed in the occupied territories of Ukraine since 2014.
About the abduction of Ukrainian children. An international warrant has been issued for Putin for this.
About the mass murders and abuse of Ukrainian civilians in the occupied territories (Bucha, Izyum) and other war crimes.
About military provocations against NATO countries, which are also provocations against the US as their military ally.
We will remind, the scandalous American journalist Tucker Carlson published the announced interview with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, which they recorded the day before in Moscow. The dictator declared his alleged desire "to achieve a solution to the situation in Ukraine through negotiations."

Putin also stated that the Russian Federation did not achieve its goals in the war against Ukraine. This, in particular, concerns denazification and the "banning of all neo-Nazi movements."

This is correct, anyone who watched the interview knows this western msm report is a lie.

(I'll add a quick edit. In the interview he didn't say anything new apart from the extended piece on Russian history. The interview as a whole was mainly for anyone who has not had a chance to listened to Putin at all before.)
