Re: WW3 Countdown
2354A deal is very close - apparently. Iran and the US are, for the 40th time, very close to signing a deal to set the conditions for talks about making an actual deal.
Suffice to say there's plenty that could go wrong is an understatement.
The US wants a deal signed today, Iran says not possible, they are still all in hiding given the US’s habit of assassinating opposition leaders.
The US says don't be silly, of course we won't.
The Iranians remind the US of their habit of lying.
Then there's Trump's common rug-pull play at the last minute when he introduces a hopeful additional clause that a desperate opponent will sign just to get it all over with but which the Iranians have not fallen for so far.
Then there's the question as to whether Trump actually really wants a deal at all. The US doesn't need Gulf oil but China does.
Most US wars of the 21 century have been about securing control of the supply of oil and being able to do that to China would seem to be the only way to maintain US hegemony.
Then there's Israel who it would seem are determined to make sure no deal that ends the conflict ever gets signed while the Iranians are adamant that Lebanon must be included.
Then there's the possibility that Trump just wants to get a MOU signed to get the Straits opened so he can finally walk away from the whole debacle.

Re: WW3 Countdown
2356Some sort of signing ceremony is scheduled for Friday in Switzerland.
Saturday Trump refused the Iatest Iranian proposal and then Israel struck 100s of targets in southern Lebanon and Beirut which seems to have pushed Trump over the edge.
In an interview with Axios Trump was apparently dropping F-bombs continuously with reference to Netanyahu.
Everyone else on the planet knew Netanyahu was going to do everything possible to sabotage any deal and on Sunday Trump finally got it and decided to go ahead now or it was never going to happen.
Plenty could still go wrong but now the emphasis in on Netanyahu first and foremost. The Straits do no open unless he stops his attacks on Lebanon and then after that everything else falls into place (relatively speaking).
Netanyahu can no longer pretend to be just a bit player, he is absolutely responsable and the whole world is watching. Reminder that Israel’s standing in the world and especially in the US has slipped to record lows since Netanyahu embarked on his ‘Greater Israel’ plan invading both Syria and Lebanon and prompting the US to attack Iran.

Re: WW3 Countdown
2359Back to Ukraine and as per the video in my last post independent mappers using geolocated flag waving videos show that the city of Konstantinovka is nearly completely captured by the Russians.
The Ukrainians themselves are calling the road out the ‘road of death’. For a long while Russian drone coverage has meant vehicle use was near impossible and for the last week or so Ukraine troops on foot have been trying to get out of the Russian cauldron.
The Ukrainian special assault groups were moved out a while ago giving up an impossible task.
These groups have been made prominent over the last 6 months or so as being the fire fighters for important positions under threat.
They are given special treatment by Ukrainian high command such as first pick of the new recruits as well as permission to take troops from other battalions if need arises and so are the only army groups actually at full strength in the Ukraine army.
The assault groups are assigned the counterattacks and their losses are high by their own admission, they boast of it.
The Russian tactic in the face of a massed counterattack is to inflict heavy losses while stepping back and reinforcements are summoned.
Then the Russian advance continues and the Ukrainian assault groups are sent elsewhere. From Konstantinovka they have been moved to the other Russian pincer arm attacking the city of Lyman.
Meanwhile between Konstantinovka and Lyman the 2 cities Kramatorsk and Sloviansk are under orders to evacuate now the Russians are lining the high ground and have started drone attacks on the cities, commentators are expecting Russian troops to be at the outskirts of both cites within a few weeks. Beyond this final line of cities is open farm land to the oblast border.
Of course Zelensky is desperate to get the world focused on Ukrainian drone strikes on traffic on a highway in Crimea where most military supplies are actually transported by rail.
Few still now deny the inexorable march forward of the Russian army, it may be slow but that's because of a decision to use tactics that keep losses to a minimum, unlike the Ukrainians.
But but but, Russian losses are high, everyone says so. They’re parroting Zelenky’s propaganda.
The soldiers on both sides know the truth because they see the reality and they tell their family and friends, truth spreads.
So in Ukraine they need to drag people off the streets while in Russia people queue up at the recruitment centres. That's the reality no matter what the western narrative says.
Second video below with ex CIA George Beebe is very interesting about NATO, the EU and Europe, one of many interesting insights is his idea that the EU has expanded and incorporated so many differing perspectives and aims that it’s basically paralysed itself and can’t agree on anything now other than continuous expansion, well worth the 45 minute watch.
