Re: WW3 Countdown

Trump’s 3 choices in Iran were; do nothing or, missiles alone (same as last time - didn’t work) or, all out war. Trump seems to again hope missiles alone will cause regime change in Iran, US aircraft appear to be keeping well away though 1 did crash in Kuwait. And there is no talk of US troops that would take at least 6 months to build up before deployment anyway.

A decapitation strike is not regime change and Trump is likely to fail at regime change without troops on the ground so this endeavour is likely to peter-out like the last one in late 2025.

Israel has lost at least 1 plane over Iran but has more to worry about now as the missiles from Iran keep coming and more are getting through as the Israeli air defence gets depleted.

BTW, reports from the US say that Iranian missile production now out-strips the US.
And Trump, after killing hundreds of Iranians, says he will retaliate for the deaths of 3 US servicemen killed at one of the US military bases attacked by Iranian missiles.

Anyway, again this looks like the failure of the 12 day war in 2025 all over again where both the US and Israel will need to back down as their missile stock piles (attack and defence) diminish and neither are willing or able to escalate further, something Trump should have foreseen.

From the video linked below capitation strikes don’t cause regime change without troops to take advantage of the vacancy. Trump keeps betting on a quick victory and keeps losing. His only success was in Venezuela where the leader was effectively turned in by his own team, that was never going to happen in Iran.

Trump now has limited options and will have to see how the Iranians move forward. The US is planning for a missile campaign of just 3-4 weeks (smart-bomb trap). Meanwhile the Iranians have closed the Straits of Hormuz attacking 4 oil tankers, this could go on for months severely affecting oil prices. Brent oil has leaped from $72 to $80 a barrel while many analysts are predicting triple digit numbers coming soon.

And in Ukraine Zelensky has backed off his drone strikes on Russia because they were only ever a publicity stunt anyway and there’s no point if Iran is now hogging the news timeline.

And they succeeded," the journalist noted.

Re: WW3 Countdown

Things are not going according to plan for the Americans in Iran.

The plan was for a decapitation strike to cause a governmental collapse followed by civilian uprising to complete a regime change but that's not happening.

Meanwhile the Iranians are pressing on with missile strikes on US bases in the rich Arab states. These states are now turning on the US saying they were promised protection so where is it?

After just 4 days the Arab states are all nearly out of Patriot air defence missiles and the US has none left to give them.

This ploy by the Iranians is akin to an outflanking move on the battlefield, the US allies are under attack and there's nothing the US can do about it.

Sure the US might have several thousand Tomahawk missiles but to fire them at what exactly? Russia has been firing thousands of missiles into Ukraine for years.

Not only that but US intel suspects that Iran may have a missile stockpile of several hundreds of thousands.

Then there's the looming oil crisis if the Iranians keep the shipping lanes closed and who's going to stop them?

Not the Brits, Starmer’s threatening to send his aircraft carrier that’s constantly breaking down and has no aircraft (too expensive) and no missiles (all given to Zelensky).

Analysts say there will be a major global oil crisis within a few months, Trump's even started talking about sending troops (not without a million men ready, willing and standing-by he’s not), that's the panic talking and obviously nothing learnt from Iraq and Afghanistan.

And latest news, Trump now says on his social media that the US is to sell oil tankers insurance policies and give a military escort to go through the straits of Hormuz. Absolute desperation, panic talking again.

The US navy is not going to move any closer to Iranian missiles let alone right under their noses, the US navy are all currently 700 miles away for safety sake. They’ll all be destroyed if they try to move through the straits.

Trump has been abandoned by his advisors and is coming up with complete crank ideas all of his own and just blurting them out on social media, a clear sign of desperation, remember Trump always was a bullshitter first and foremost, that’s how we do our deals in the NY real estate game and no mistake.

The bottom line is that Trump has already lost this fiasco and the moron neocons who talked him into it are already making their excuses and starting to bail out.

So Trump's now in a similar position to Zelensky, slowly being corralled towards total defeat and a, at least metaphorical, public hanging once the whole debacle finally collapses.

In Ukraine, the pace of the Russian advance is starting to increase as the weather warms up.

There are 2 huge cauldrons forming around Ukrainian cities, 1 in Zaparozia oblast centred on the city of Orikhiv and the other in Donetsk oblast centred on the twin cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.

Once Donetsk oblast is taken and Zaparozia city itself is under siege the Russians are expected to extend their demands to include Odessa, and why not, again - who's going to stop them?

Still shocked this is happening. Wild.
yes so the reports go, makes sense to be using their old stock of missiles and drones to deplete Israeli and the Gulf states air defence missiles, and as the US are unable to resupply defence missiles in adequate quantities the Iranians will then start launching the bigger missiles and their hypersonics.

Anyone watching Ukraine knew the Americans didn't have a proper supply of air defence systems for one war let alone two.

Trump has walked blindly into a catastrophic mistake. His only hope now is to make excuses and run away.

The closing of the straits of Hormuz means there’s a global energy crisis (OIL AND LNG) about to hit in a matter of weeks.

What are you going to do??

Trump Admin:
We took out the Iranian top govt people.
We took out the Iranian navy.
We took out the Iranian air force.
And we can do some deep missile strikes.

Umm yeah, but so what?

There’s still going to be a global energy crisis about to hit in a matter of weeks that’s going to very seriously adversely affect all the world's economies.

Trump Admin:
Well, we can sustain this fight for as long as needed and will bomb the Iranian people into submission.

But history shows that that tactic has never worked to cause regime change and only brings people closer together.

All Iran needs is a good supply of missiles to stop any traffic going through the straits and it would seem most likely that Iran has plenty enough to last for years.

Reminder that Ukraine lost its navy and air force and has been under constant missile attacks for 4 years and is still capable of launching missiles back at Russia.

The US is trying to do to Iran what the Russians are trying to do to Ukraine but without the 600,000 troops on the ground, and be all done and dusted within just a couple of weeks.

It really is just not going to happen.

How long will the US want to continue with oil at $200 a barrel?

$200 a barrel oil will destroy India and most of the 2nd and 3rd world as well as the western world.

Russia and China will ride it out, Russia for obvious reasons and China which has nuclear and coal power stations as well as Russian oil and gas via pipelines and the northern/west Pacific sea route.

Surely it must only be a matter of time before Trump does what he did against the Houthies, pack up and run away. What else can he do? Send 600,000 troops and spend 4 years trying to achieve regime change?

But there is still going to be a global energy crisis about to hit in a matter of weeks that’s going to very seriously adversely affect all the world’s economies.

Meanwhile, the EU has decided that in light of the coming oil and gas global crisis buying oil and gas from Russia is not such a bad idea after all and are looking to apply pressure on Zelensky to reopen the pipelines as Hungary and Slovakia have been demanding.

And the US is now talking of withdrawing sanctions from Russian oil companies in view of the coming crisis (that they caused).

The Trump admin is still all gung-ho but Trump is in real trouble here, having declared himself above international law and above US congressional law he has taken the country into a war that, unlike Venezuela, is not going to end quickly or well, and is going to be very, very expensive if he doesn’t back out now.

Trump’s first step as a dictator has been to walk straight into a trap that could see him impeached and out of office long before his 4 year term ends.

How was he led into this trap?

Because as Rubio said, the US had to defend itself by attacking Iran first, because err, Israel was going to attack Iran before … err, the US did.

So you see it all makes perfect sense.
