In Ukraine the latest ‘we are winning’ fake narrative campaign is losing momentum as reality inevitably pokes through.
Ukrainian authorities order the evacuation of numerous villages around the city of Kharkiv as the Russian advance in the region continues.
The mayor of Sumy city issues a public denial that there is an evacuation order for Sumy while due to the Russian tactic of destroying gas stations fuel has to be sold out of the back of trucks.
Meanwhile Russia has staged a massive missile attack on Kiev while rumours spread of an impending multiple Oreshnik missile attack on the deep underground decision making bunkers in central Kiev. The word is that the pin point accuracy needed to avoid mass civilian casualties has been achieved.
In the Donbas the Russians have released drone video footage from their drones flying around the streets of Kromatosk and Slovansk, the last 2 Donbas cities remaining in Ukrainian control.
And so the European leadership is pushing harder for a full on war with Russia of course.
The reason being that this latest ‘we are wining’ campaign was all for Trump’s benefit because he keeps signalling a likely US withdrawal from Europe and NATO but this just won't do.
The Europeans have spent the last 20 years saving money by running down their MIC and military forces while at the same time doing everything possible to antagonise the Russians safe in the knowledge thanks to Article 5 the US had their backs.
For the US to walk out now would be a disaster, the only solution is to get a proper war started now before the Americans can leave.
And so the Europeans are desperate to hijack Russian oil tankers but the snag is that the Russian navy is using destroyers to escort them so the little European patrol boats can't get close.
So instead they’re hijacking any old tankers that sail past and pretend they're Russian because in the modern world narrative and optics are more important than reality.

2403Interesting comparison to be made between the Ukraine war and the Vietnam war which the US lost after 8 years of fighting.
As per the John Mearsheimer (who was in Vietnam) video below the US was always losing but kept the war going by using it’s almost limitless resources and equally importantly lying about the Vietnamese losses.
So long as you can convince your followers that you are steadily killing more of the opposition then you must be winning and so victory is inevitable.

The Ukrainian over estimation of Russian losses has always been readily accepted by western leaders with no attempt at any kind of verification because the western leadership really, really want to believe.
All actual evidence such as the bodies exchange figures that show a huge Ukrainian loss compared to Russian is just ignored.
And so you get the narrative that, as in Vietnam, one more year should do it and Russians will finally collapse - right?
What's really happening is the western leadership is hanging on waiting and hoping for a miracle that's never going to happen, same as in Vietnam.
In Iran and plenty of chatter about the US building up troop numbers again along with the idea of them using troops to gain a foothold in Iran somewhere, like they did in Syria, but really that's not going to work.
The US really wants to force Iran to give up its missiles and the only thing stopping them are the Iranian missiles, so no, Iran’s not going to give them up.
Trump should just cut the only deal going and move on, open the Straits and a verifiable no nukes policy for Iran in exchange for the frozen assets and an end to sanctions.
The snag is that the only deal going achieves none of Israel’s goals, but as Mearsheimer points out, the US has discovered they do not have a military option in Iran at all.
Trump can’t just walk away without a nuke deal (total failure as opposed to mostly failure) so he’ll just have to sign one. All the hopping about from one leg to the other is just posturing while he’s waiting for that miracle that’s never going to happen (why do they all always do that?).

Artillery shelling of the border areas continues. Today, the settlements of Sopych, Golyshivske, Ulanov and Bachivsk were affected in the Sumy region; in the Chernihiv region - Lyady and Yasna Polyana. The enemy also launched air strikes on the areas of the settlements of Ulanov and Tovstodubovo.
In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, no attempts by the enemy to advance were recorded, however, the invaders launched one air strike using one guided bomb and carried out 22 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the invaders tried to break through the defenses seven times in the areas of the settlements of Izbitske, Starytsia, Vilcha and Shevyakivka, three clashes are ongoing.
In the Lymansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled two attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of Stavkiv and Dibrova.
In the Slavyansk direction, the invaders tried to advance thirteen times near Zakitne and towards the settlements of Rai-Oleksandrivka, Kryva Luka and Riznykivka, one clash is ongoing.

The Russians are no longer interested in playing this ‘US as mediators’ game and, as Putin already publicly stated, the war will be determined on the battlefield.
The Americans, who are orchestrating the deep drone attacks into Russia don’t forget, were trying to restart the peace talks hot on the heels of the most recent ‘Ukraine is winning’ PR campaign. Trump thought he could get Putin agreeing to a ceasefire and a restart of the negotiations but Trump got nowhere because the Russians know they aren’t losing and are not going to negotiate on Zelensky’s terms.
Meanwhile, western European leaders continue to pretend to be preparing for war. They have no money, or industrial energy supply, or industry for that matter to be able to prepare for any war let alone one against Russia in it’s current state of preparedness.
And so Starmer announced he was going to stop repairing the roads for a decade so the UK could buy more nukes from the US. Don't know why he's bothering to pay when the US would just give them anyway.

The Finnish PM is very proud of Finland joining the nuclear family having agreed to host US bases to be lined up on their Russian border. All he's really done is taken Finland from being a neutral state to being the number 1 target for a Russian nuke attack, brilliant. Sweden is so jealous they’re hoping to follow suit.
So the Scandinavians can join the Baltic countries in screaming insults and shaking their fists at the Russians over border while they fantasise they’re actually belatedly standing up to the old Soviet Union, they’re only doing it now because they think the US now has their backs, which they don't.
The US is not going to get into a nuclear war with Russia over something a delusional little European country started, but that's not going to stop the pint sized European states from trying.
So a larger conventional war in Europe is still very possible, something Zelensky has dreamed of, but the only certainty in such a war would be the battleground’s total destruction, which of course will be Ukraine.
