Great job Ogee it’s really refreshing to see someone with such clear and balanced views on the situation. And I say this as a Ukrainian.
Trying to keep the overview in focus and ignore all the propaganda coming from the 4 sides that are all grappling for the steering wheel.
The main losers are the Ukrainian people but it’s not just the Russians who are causing it all. It’s also the US and the Europeans and Zelensky and the Ukrainian ultra-nationalists.
Though pulling all the strings from above are the Davos elites who have their eye on grabbing a share of the $75 trillion in Russian natural resources.

Anyway, Trump’s 2 week deadline ran out on Monday apparently, oh how time flies. So no meeting between Putin and Zelensky and so now the wrath of Trump … I think he’s hoping everyone’s forgotten.

Trump has no cards, the Europeans have no cards, Zelensky has no cards, but none will admit it. Only Putin has cards, the diplomatic route and the military route.

Turns out these new missiles (Araams or Eraams or whatever) that are supposed to be delivered to Ukraine in the thousands from the US don’t exist yet (we keep getting that excuse). The first prototype still hasn’t been built let alone any production lines set up.

Ukraine has the new Flamingo missile (apparently) but has trouble producing them at home with the constant Russian long range drone and missile attacks that are often 700 a night.

The European meeting mentioned yesterday is set for Thursday though Trump seems to be too busy playing Pirates of the Caribbean sinking Venezuelan drug running ships.

All peace initiatives seem to have come to a complete halt and we are back to talk of sanctions and tariffs and security guarantees again, none of which have any hope of making any difference as everyone must know by now.

Much comment of the framed picture behind the Russian army chief at his recent briefing showing Odessa as Russian territory. A hint of what’s to come if Zelensky doesn’t come to terms in the near future perhaps.

It’s all very well saying never surrender and all that but if you’re really just waiting for a million to 1 miracle when you are losing 700 odd casualties a day and 600sqkm a month then forget it, there's always a price for delaying the inevitable.

Russia is not just going to just drop dead, American troops are not going to just turn up, the Europeans … well you can forget about them, the current French government (though not the president) will be gone by the end of Friday’s no confidence vote anyway.

There’s a sort of stalemate happening now and so not very much to write about compared to previous months.

Trump must have realised he’s not the centre of attention anymore and no one is really listening to him. His stream of threats and deadlines are ignored, even by himself at this stage.

It must be dawning that there really is nothing he can do. If he sends troops they will get bogged down in a long term financially ruinous war that he may very well lose. He can’t send the only wonder weapon that would change the status quo (nukes). The Europeans are useless and can’t change anything. His own diplomats can’t change anything.

And he’s finally realised the advice from people like Kellogg and Graham has been embarrassingly out of touch and a complete waste of time.

The rallying cry of ‘unprovoked full scale invasion’ has been proved to be just as deliberately deceitful as the ‘safe and effective’ vaccine.

There really is nothing Trump can do now but sit and watch the final drama play out.

As said before, where the final partition lines are drawn is solely up to Zelensky and how long it takes him to realise he must come to terms.

So where is he? Doing another one of his god like tours of Europe of course receiving the high praise of the useless morons currently in charge there.

He swans around Europe to avoid the problems at home just as the European leaders swan around him rather than looking to the catastrophic problems on their own doorstep. Everyone is happy.

Meanwhile Trump is attracting applause and votes for a Nobel peace prize for bringing India and China closer together just a short time after fighting over border disputes.

European governments have found an ingenious way to reduce the cost of the 5% of GDP spend on the military demanded by Trump - just crash your GDP.

And an ‘Isolated’ Putin is pictured with 30 odd world leaders at China gathering.

The best news is that the world continues to get richer and that wealth is not zero sum and so there really is no need for the US or the west to fight to be king of the hill because there is no hill.

One of the biggest hang ups now is the question of security guarantees. As usual the west has got it all the wrong way round.

Ukraine did not need security guarantees when they were the number 1 NATO army, 750,000 men NATO trained and NATO equipped.

It was Russia that needed the security guarantees, NATO creeping right up to its border was one of the main reasons for the start of the conflict.

But now apparently Russia doesn’t need them but Ukraine does. This is wrong.

Russia still needs security guarantees from the west, Ukraine doesn’t. What Ukraine really needs is a peace treaty with Russia.

The west says they want an end to the conflict, they’re just not willing to do anything that would actually bring that about. The west keeps the weapons resupply flowing but expecting that to end the conflict, even eventually, is nonsense. Russia’s military capability is growing while Ukraine’s is being destroyed.

That was Russia’s objective since the start of the conflict. A war of attrition to remove the NATO military threat on their doorstep. They have been very successful and will keep going unless Ukraine and/or the west remove that threat themselves.

Those are the security guarantees that Russia needs in order to stop the fighting, and until the west wakes up and does something about it the fighting will continue. If there’s no reason to stop then Russia will keep going until the Ukrainian army collapses and if it does it will take the Zelensky regime with it.

Meanwhile in Washington Trump seems to have lost interest in Ukraine and instead was surprised by the show of solidarity at the gatherings in China.

It was just a few weeks ago he said BRICS was in decline.

In Putin's latest speech in China he said that the Russian military was in full support for continuing the conflict and he clearly believes that Russia will win if there is to be no negotiated settlement. Putin said that Ukrainian brigades were down to under 50% strength on average and that the current Russian offensive would continue on into the autumn.

Comparisons are being drawn between the recent US military parade and those of the Russians and the Chinese and they are not favourable to the Americans by a long way lol.

Military commentators did not seem to appreciate the sight of American soldiers ambling down the road out of step waving to the crowd compared to the ultra-sharp discipline on display by the Russian and Chinese troops.

Also of note was the lack of military hardware on display by the US, probably because most of it had already been destroyed in Ukraine.

Karen 'the clown' Callus doesn't seem to know history while directing people to look to history.

In WW2 Europe most of the dying was done on the eastern front not the western, estimated Russian deaths 27 million.
In the Pacific most of the dying was done in China not on the ocean or islands, estimated Chinese deaths 15 - 20 million.

Re: WW3 Countdown

Coalition of the Retarded meeting in Paris on Thursday went exactly as expected right up to the point the whole Euro leadership got punched straight in the face.

Officially everything went according to the script as per the last 74 such meetings.

NATO’s Rutte channelled his predecessor Stoltenberg saying that Russia had no business saying what troops would or would not be allowed in Ukraine as a peacekeeping force.

The fact is that the Russian army does have a veto over who is allowed in by virtue of the fact they will blow up anyone they don’t want, simple as.

The European leaders say ok, we’ll wait to send our 20,000 after Russia has agreed a ceasefire and demand a US backstop. But of course Russia will only stipulate that there will not be any troops in a ceasefire deal.

Zelensky demanded yet again, that his army be rebuilt, yet again. Which will not happen because the Russians will make sure of it or the fighting will just continue until there is no Ukrainian army left to rebuild.

Mertz says the way forward is long range strikes into Russia as if that had never been tried before and ignoring Trump recently repeating Biden’s order that the much needed US assistance for strikes would not be forthcoming.

Those were the officially reported EU, UK, Zelensky list of demands to the US.

And of course sanctions were discussed.

And that's where it all fell apart.

The Europeans demanded the US (represented by Steve Witkoff) must impose those ‘bone crushing’ sanctions on Russia, India and China to which it is rumoured Witkoff said any sanctions were more likely to be levelled on the EU for buying Russian oil from India.

Witkoff then got up, walked out and went home.

It was reported Witkoff left after only 40 minutes at the meeting but others said it was more like 20.

So after Witkoff walked out the Euro leadership and Zelensky all got on the phone to Trump to whine and complain and to demand more sanctions and for Trump to increase the pressure on Russia, India and China.

Trump was having none of it and told them to apply their own secondary sanctions (tariffs) on India and China.

That shut them up.

The EU/UK putting 100 or 500% tariffs on India, that now supplies a huge and crucial portion of their energy needs, and China, that provides the major portion of their manufactured goods, would be akin to shooting themselves in the head.

They already fell into that trap back in 2022, they wouldn’t be so stupid as to do it again, err, would they?

A bigger bunch of losers you will not find. Too frightened to face the shadows too inadequate to face reality. No wonder the Davos elite chose them to be put before the electorate.

All they do is whine and whinge and make constant demands to the US, who it looks like, might just have had enough.

Re: WW3 Countdown

Trump has smaller fish to fry.

Trump is all about getting stuff done and if there's an impasse it's time to move on. Like starting a war he might actually be able to win. Venezuela for example.

Zelensky is getting very nervous. He’s angry at Europe for not sacrificing itself for Ukraine and continuing to buy Russia oil.

He's pleased India is being sanctioned, should be harder, everyone needs to be sacrificed for Ukraine.

Speaking of sacrifices, Russia has just signed a long term contract to supply LNG to China through the 2 new gas pipelines. This is the Arctic gas reserve that was supposed to fuel European industry for decades to come. There is no equivalent replacement in volume and transport for price.

Europe has destroyed any hope of ever being competitive in any energy-intensive industry in the near future. Reminder there is no such thing as a rich county with expensive energy.

Renewables are a joke, proper large scale battery storage is still decades away, the only real alternative now for Europe is nuclear power. With a 10 year build time frame the sooner they start the better (didn’t they shut down the ones they had?).

Idiots or paid actors?

BTW Russia and China are well advanced in the NPP building game if the Europeans need any help.

Zelensky tells Trump that Putin is insulting him personally by targeting a US factory in Ukraine.

The factory made coffee machines though for some strange reason fire fighters couldn't put the blaze out for 3 days, who knew coffee machines could burn so fiercely?

Russia for the first time targeted one of the Dnipro river bridges. But they only used a (one) Geron drone so it was really just a message, perhaps a warning of escalations to come?

The US is at a dead end. The Europeans are at a dead end. Zelensky is at a dead end.

None can force Russia to surrender and worse still Russia has plenty of options as to how to end this conflict on its own terms.

The US is actually incrementally already moving out of Europe. Over the last 6 months they have decreased troop numbers and have been steadily cutting funding for training in European countries. This is what is panicking EU/UK leaders to try to force the US to stay tied to Europe by drawing them deeper into the Ukraine conflict.

Commentators are increasingly voicing concern over the Ukrainian Deepstate mapping which is used by western media almost exclusively.

Not only are they sometimes weeks behind in marking up Russia advances but are now changing contested grey zone areas to Ukraine held with no objective evidence at all. This is new, and presumably because of pressure from the Ukrainian army.

Ukraine army chief Syrsky himself just said Ukraine retook 5 times more territory than it lost near Pokrovsk in August which is patently ridiculous unless you perhaps just redraw the map.

Reminder that a few weeks ago the deepstate mappers announced one of their team had been killed having just been sent to the front.

Itss shameful that you would post such images with a wink emoji, as if you are proud of the violence and loss of life being depicted. There is nothing amusing about suffering or death and glorifying it is deeply disrespectful to all affected.
