Desperate Trump tries the carrot and the stick with China, it won’t work.

The US needs Chinese rare earth metals and heat resistant magnets for US missile production, missiles that can then be used to threaten err, China.

In order to get them Trump is offering China 600,000 student visas. If China doesn't agree he will slap a 200% tariff on Chinese imports to the US.
Trump is just going round in circles now, 100 - 200 - 500%, it’s all BS.

100% and over is pretty much guaranteed to shut down trade (though Trump loves his exceptions for certain products). China has already shown that, though a loss, China is no longer so dependent on US trade and will give it up on principles if needs be.

Zelensky meanwhile is back issuing the demands telling the Europeans he must have $1 billion a month just for basics to keep the shit show on the road and it’s their responsibility to pay it.

Zelensky has seen half the population of Ukraine leave, only half of whom might possibly return once the fighting stops.
He has seen 20% of the land lost and possibly 20% more in the near future.

The economy is in total ruin, the war has been a disaster, and 69% of the population have had enough and want a negotiated peace immediately.
Zelensky must be asking. What to do, what to do? Oh yes, more of the same.

Zelensky is a self serving clown. The sooner he's got rid of the better for everyone, everyone except the European leadership and US neocons.
Can Ukraine hold on until a new US president comes along? The answer is No.

Keep going as is and Ukraine will be half the country with half the population and less than half the wealth of pre-war Ukraine having lost the industrial mining areas and left with just the agricultural part of the country. Way to go Zelensky, what a hero.

The EU/UK leadership can be relied upon to encourage Ukraine to continue down this losing pathway, they’ve got nothing to lose after all and the longer they can continue without admitting they got it all wrong the longer they can stay in their cushy positions before being thrown out.

Re: WW3 Countdown

Zelensky is pulling out all the stops to get a meeting with Putin organised but it begs the question why?

Zelensky has not changed his negotiating position one bit. Russia must withdraw from all territories occupied since 2014, must pay Ukraine trillions in reparations, and must hand over all their leaders to the international courts.

Russia is not going to stop winning the war and taking more and more of Ukraine every day to comply with these demands, obviously they're not.

Zelensky wants a meeting for the same reason he does everything, it’s for the optics, for the photo opportunity, for the validation of position as leader (a 2nd Churchill didn’t you know).

He has no illusion anything substantive will come from any meeting but that doesn’t matter to him, never has.
To be seen to be striving for peace, when you’re really just devoted to counting huge piles of cash, is of paramount importance.

30,000 Ukrainian troop casualties and 600sqkm of territory lost every month - phttt, mere details.

The show must go on so long as the money keeps rolling in.

Great news. ‘Washington has told allies it is prepared to provide military assets, battlefield oversight, intelligence, surveillance, command and control, aircraft and air defense to support a European-led mission in Ukraine, according to senior officials’.

This will mean the 100,000 European troops will have similar support to the 600,000 Russians. If I was a betting man, and I am, I’ll still be putting my money on the Russians.

It’s highly likely the US has only made this offer to stop the EU making constant demands of the US. The US knows the EU would have to be stupid to send 100,000 (the max they could possibly raise) up against this well trained, well equipped, very experienced and numerically far superior Russian army.

Reminder that the 750,000 strong Ukraine army had all this US support and has now been reduced to just 300,000 despite a continuous 20,000 a month (forced) mobilisation.

What the EU (and Ukraine) need most is US troops and they really are absolutely not going to get them.

And as for triggering NATO article 5, Trump has already said, ‘you pick a fight with the Russians and you’re on your own’.

Ukraine news outlet Ukrainska Pravda is reporting Ukrainian AOWL (desertion) cases for 2025 are running at over 15,500 a month (110,511 for the first 7 months of the year).

It has also been reported by Ukrainian sources that 80% of new recruits were forcibly mobilised.

Ukrainian army chief Syrsky has previously said that the current mobilisation rate of 20,000 a month was not enough to cover casualty losses.

The latest data on Ukrainian army numbers put the total figure at 300,000, down from a high of 750,000 in 2022.

This is what a collapse looks like. At some crucial point the collapse will turn into an obvious rout. This is how attrition in war works. Everything looks fine until suddenly it doesn't.

And this is why we’re now seeing all this sudden fevered activity over peace initiatives and ceasefires.

Meanwhile, Zelensky has noticed talk by economists of both the UK and France possibly needing an IMF money bailout because their economies are in such dire straits (Germany not much better).

So Zelensky has assigned a new ambassador to the US with special instructions to pester Trump to go back to direct arms supplies between US and Ukraine, seemingly (and rightly) having no faith in Europe.

Reminder that NATO and the EU are administrative organisations, they have a budget to buy paperclips and staples, not weapons.

Trump belatedly figured this out after making the tariff deals with Ursula van der Lying and in the recent talks in the White House ordered Ursula out of the room saying he only wanted to talk with the actual leaders.

So what’s up next?

Nothing on the diplomatic front, still waiting out the latest Trump 2 week deadline for whatever to happen, it won’t work - again. But Trump doesn’t seem to have any other strategy than threats and demands (same as Zekensky), so Putin will just have to carry on winning on the battlefronts.

On the battlefronts Pokrovsk continues to be encircled and there is fighting now in the city of Kupiansk, the Russians are also now ready to attack the cities of Lymen and Konstantinovka directly.

This war will end entirely on Russian terms unless Zelensky comes to a negotiated settlement now, just as 69% of Ukrainians have recently said they want.

Re: WW3 Countdown

So where are we now?

The Ukrainian army has failed. Sanctions have failed. NATO weapons and equipment have failed. Ceasefires have failed. Negotiations have failed.

What to do? Maybe Zelensky should modify his demands somewhat? No? Ok.

How about sanctioning all of Russia’s customers?

Given that sanctioning Russia itself has half crippled Europe, what might sanctioning China as well do?

In the olden days sanctions meant withholding something needed by those being sanctioned causing them discomfort.

The modern definition of sanctions seems to be to deprive yourself of much needed goods causing yourself harm.

Now I’m no expert but I’m pretty sure the old way worked better.

So let's cut all the cheap goods from China and see inflation go through the roof. Europe is not the US and the Euro is not the US$. The EU would not survive but then maybe that’s the Davos elite’s plan anyway. All of these European politicians have been captured by the Davos elites after all.

The west has run out of tools and are now showing their desperation. The truth is that if the west was doing the bleeding then the whole shit show would have been shut down long ago. They are bleeding financially but they can cover that, for a while.

Ultimately it’s up to the west to shut it down, the Ukrainian leadership won’t until the money stops flowing. The Ukrainian people will just have to keep suffering until the western pretence can’t be kept up anymore, or until the Ukraine army finally collapses.

Whatever, this conflict will be ending on Russia’s terms.

NATO losing the war in Ukraine will be the beginning of the end.

UK, France and Germany are in a debt death spiral, the current batch of politicians will be swept away and in the wings are new right of centre parties waiting to be voted in.

‘Reform’ in the UK, Le Penn’s ‘National Rally’ in France and ‘AfD’ in Germany. All 3 are leading the polls. These parties in power will hopefully bring about the dissolution of globalist institutions like NATO and the EU.

Wait and let’s see how the globalists fight back to stop democracy.

The EU was a good idea back in the 1970s when it was a simple free trade collective but has since grown into an unruly, threatening militaristic expansionist monster.

Re: WW3 Countdown

1700
New hope for NATO in Ukraine is the US medium range Araam missiles supposedly about to be delivered, combined with reported huge Russian losses will lead to a new Ukrainian offensive and the inevitable defeat of the Russians.

There are a couple of problems with this plan. One is Trump’s recent reaffirming of the ban on the launching of long range missile strikes into Russia. Then there’s the reality that Russia fires huge numbers of missiles and they haven’t led directly to Ukraine’s defeat after over 3 years.

Missiles alone can never be enough, they can only be part of a strategy, there must be ground troops to actually take over and control territory.

The other problem is the west’s idea as to Russian casualty numbers. Western media get their data from 2 main sources, the US pentagon and British Intelligence. These 2 organisations get their data directly from Budanov of Ukrainian Military Intelligence and that is basically Ukrainian propaganda, completely made up figures.

There is no attempt by the British or the US to verify the data they receive from the Ukrainians at all.

Ukraine admits Russia has a 10:1 long range fires advantage.
Military experts agree long range fires account for over 80% of all battlefield casualties, ergo;

“Russia has 10:1 more casualties.”

Everyone in the west is expected to believe and repeat this demonstrable nonsense.

So the reality is that Ukraine has 10:1 more casualties.

News is coming out of a number of groups looking at the hacked KIA and missing in action files from the Ukrainian military database. The groups are working through samples taken from the over 1.7 million individual named personnel files and preliminary results indicate the files may very well be genuine. More to come.

Germany and France summit meeting to find a way out of the disastrous path they have set themselves down and of course the solution is to continue down it.

According to them Russia is the problem so containing Russia is the solution which means preparing the population for war with increasing propaganda and borrowing hundreds of billions for the military.

The actual problem is abandoning cheap energy. In the history of mankind there has never been wealth without a cheap source of energy. Spending hundreds of billions on green energy before it was developed properly meant expensive energy and the death nail was cutting yourself off from cheap Russian gas.

The result is European deindustrialisation, impoverishment, and an excuse for more war.

Trump plays for time. Europe prepares for war
