Hello. It is a bit simplified from original here in forum...sometimes little faster from original and based on slope of line. Is made as a function, I want it use in my average pack...send me a feedback after your test...

TESTING CONFIRMED... WE HAVE A WINNER

The new Half Trend slope does not repaint and cuts out false signals.

Below I will display the arrows of Kvak's new Half Trend in LIGHT BLUE and LIGHT ORANGE
The old Half Trend's arrows are DARKER BLUE and DARKER ORANGE

You can see the Half Trend slope will react faster and is almost identical to the old version but doesn't repaint.

This is actually a big wow moment because the old half trend was unusable due to repainting and the half trend short was good but had too many false signals... incredible feat test it yourselfs ☝️

Nice work, thanks for posting a comparison 👍

The new Half Trend by Kvak is indeed better at filtering. It's very clever.

Hi Kvak, how are you?

As our friend Boytoy anticipated, Halftrend is very interesting.

therefore, you could include your avgs and RMAs?

If you can include those Efficiency Ratio RMA, plz.

I think everyone will like to see this classic indicator with variations of Avgs/Rmas.

tks so much, again!!!

Awesome stuff, save your money

Well what do you know it is the same but Kvak's one has less overshoot and is nonrepainting..... so I would say AW Trend predictor was based on old half trend and optimized in some way to improve the old half trend haha not being bias just trying a demo

Optimized Trend Tracker

Made this version, not sure how close to Alex's mt5 version though.

What exactly is the Optimized Trend Tracker code about?

The Optimized Trend Tracker is a modified Chande Momentum Oscillator (CMO) with a moving average-based trend filter.
  • The OTT period (length) is set to 9 (can be modified).
  • A percentage factor (percent) of 1.4% is used for threshold adjustments.
The Optimized Trend Tracker (OTT) serves as a trend-following indicator that modifies its functionality in response to the market's momentum (CMO) and fluctuations in price. It functions as a flexible stop-loss mechanism as well as a trend filter, producing buy and sell signals when prices breach OTT thresholds.

This tool assists traders in maintaining their positions within trends while minimizing the risk of false signals by adapting to price volatility in real time.

Other indicators to consider:
