Yeah, "only" the elections that Little Peuttie controls are rigged. There might be a dogcatcher in Siberia who won fair and square by distributing home brewed vodka. :eh:

No, he'll just stop giving the Ukrainians money. And he's right - it really is that simple. They will just have to capitulate and sue for terms which will be terrible compared to what they agreed to then rejected in Minsk 1 and then in Minsk 2 and then in April 2022. But hey, that's the price you pay when you triple-down to go along with a demented neocon plan.

Ukraine evacuating north west Sumy and Kharkov in anticipation of the imminent Russian spring offensive which will split the already drastically depleted Ukrainian defences.

The mobilisation of the 500,000 urgently needed by the Ukraine army is still being held up in parliament, it's like they already know it's all over.

I'm not sure. The war boosts the US economy and allowed for faster decrease of inflation
(e.g. due to the outflow of funds). This is nothing new, just compare the civilization change
in the US before and after WW2. E.g. the huge lend-lease program decisively helping
the USSR and other countries to fight was a big boost for the US economy.

WSJ Feb. 2024:
Proponents of support for Ukraine usually invoke U.S. strategic interests or moral obligations.
Lately, they are making a more calculating case: It is good for the economy.

In the two years since Russia invaded Ukraine, the U.S. defense industry has experienced
a boom in orders for weapons and munitions.

But they've already stopped the money, the planned $61 billion has been held up for months now, same as the 500,000 mobilisation - more and more politicians realise it's a lost cause and a waste of money/lives.

There might be a much reduced deal done eventually but in either case it's highly likely to be the last one.
