Re: Beatle's Trend Trading System
2463I often have the problem that I lose the trade despite theoretically good entry.
I feel like something is missing, it often pushes on for a while and then stops me out at my SL.
Do you also have such situations and how do you avoid them?
Just one example, the HTF Bias was maybe not that clear in this case, but I often have situations with a clearer HTF bias but the pullback is much bigger so it stopps me out.

the 1st trade you sold under value on M5
also very tight stop losses for M5, you got let it play
on H4 when it the last candle touched value and went down, that's the time to enter short

I would suggest using a lower TF for your HTF bias if you are going to enter on the 5min chart. If you go back and review you'll see that the H1, 30min and 15min ALL showed buying bias.
They would have kept you out of the trade until a MUCH better entry later which would have been above value.
The H4 is too big a disparity from the 5min.

Re: Beatle's Trend Trading System
2466Your second entry - The HA candles told you in real-time that they were bouncing off of the value line, meaning price is still to push up further. Your next entry could've been very simple, The 4H was clearly reacting to the expansion line , then on the 5min you either wait for candle rotate in-line with the 4H or wait for frame-work to develop on your entry time frame, which it did. You can see there on your 5Min that a Minor framework box formed and price clearly rotated off of it which was your indicator to jump in. Simple.Samoth wrote: Tue Oct 03, 2023 10:41 pm I often have the problem that I lose the trade despite theoretically good entry.

Also Wade has talked a lot about using the 4H - 5Min timeframe pairing rather than the 1H - 5min as the 1H can throw you off the scent of the trend (Using the standard HA candles the 1h could look like it's rotating but looking at the 4H the trend is still holding strong). It's up to you though but I would recommend sticking to 4H-5Min.
Hope this helps.

Re: Beatle's Trend Trading System
2467i may be off but he was trying to scalp, by the way he jumped off/put his SL's, so maybe better go with what Bettle said, closer HTF and LTF.Liltune95 wrote: Wed Oct 04, 2023 8:25 pm Your second entry - The HA candles told you in real-time that they were bouncing off of the value line, meaning price is still to push up further. I also prefer to trade the way you and wade proposed, let it play on the 4H using the 5M or 15M to enter, but i don't think that was what he was doing.

2468Thanks guys, your suggestions helped me a lot
I think I might switch to Indicies only, monitoring 30 symbols gives me headaches.
Especially at work when our IT guy comes close I don't want him to see that I have a portable MT4 Terminal on my PC
NASDAQ today like a picture book example:

2469in one of the videos from ATS he said to focus on 2 instruments only and become an expert on them. That's what i'm doing, i picked 2.Samoth wrote: Wed Oct 04, 2023 11:38 pm Thanks guys, your suggestions helped me a lot

Indices, pairs or commodities, or even stocks, he said it works everywhere there is enough volume, so that should not the issue i think. Just pick 2 of any.
I was juggling a lot of instruments to be able to manage them to., I'm focused on 2 now. I just changed my version a bit, i pick 2 every sunday, it may not even change, but i pick on Sunday and stick with them through the week. I want trending instruments so if they are ranging i move on.
I don't strictly use the ATS system, i go take a lot at it from time to time. but they know what they are talking and help me a lot.

Can you post your templates and indicator set, I don't know, for some reason the previously downloaded indicator doesn't work properly like yours.
Thank you
