Budanov - about the attack on the headquarters of the Black Army in Sevastopol: Among the seriously wounded are generals
08:00 09/23/2023 As a result of the attack on the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, at least nine people were killed and 16 were injured. Among them are Russian generals.
As reported by Ukrinform, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said this in a comment to the Ukrainian service of the Voice of America.
"Among the wounded is the commander of the group, Colonel-General Romanchuk, in a very serious condition. The Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Tsekov, is unconscious. The number of casual military servicemen who are not employees of the headquarters is still being determined. These are military personnel who are on duty, security, and so on - they are not included in the list that I announced to you," Budanov said.
According to the Voice of America, Oleksandr Romanchuk, the commander of the group of Russian forces in the Zaporozhye region, received the rank of colonel general in 2023. Lieutenant-General Oleg Tsekov is the commander of the 200 OMSB Coastal Forces of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy.
At the same time, Budanov did not confirm reports about the alleged death of the commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, Admiral Viktor Sokolov. There is currently no information about his condition in the GUR.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine stated at the regional economic forum in Kiev about the need to build fortifications as soon as possible.
(while admitting the counteroffensive was a total failure The Economist is talking total bullshit that Ukraine could hold out in a war of attrition, they have run out of men, arms and ammo)

The dumbest war in the history of wars grinds on because the US continues to fund it without getting hurt - "until the last Ukrainian" remember. Any normal country would have seen the losses and sued for peace long before now but Ukraine is obviously not a normal country.
TRUE, Russia have used the same tactic throughout the 'counteroffensive'. Light mobile units that withdraw when the AFU move forward then Russian artillery and drones destroy the attacking force and then the Russian unit moves forward again to entice another Ukrainian attack.
The small village of Robotyne has been 'captured' about 20 times by the Ukrainians but they still can't drive a vehicle up the road without it being destroyed.
So now they send troops out into the open on foot to breakthrough Russian lines but there is absolutely no reason for the Russians to change their tactics.
Yesterday again the AFU claimed to breakthrough Russian lines, proven absolutely by geolocation of pictures taken by RUSSIAN drones, unfortunately those same drones were the ones dropping shells on the AFU troops and killing them all.

Maybe bigger guns will help the AFU? No, a few days ago they sent 6 storm shadow cruise missiles (about $1 mil each) into Crimea, 5 were shot down and one hit it's target, a old historic naval building. Even if they destroyed the bridge to Crimea would that disable Russian supplies - no. Same as shelling civilians in the Donbas on a daily basis it's really just terror tactics and will not disable the Russian military in any meaningful way.
