Dsl DMI - (vidya)

96
Dsl (discontinued signal lines) DMI that can use Vidya for smoothing (in this case it uses result smoothing, not internal prices smoothing)
Also, this is the first case where the modified Vidya is calculating smoothed value of one value (DMI) using CMO (Chandes momentum oscillator) of another value (close price) in this case. That way it is much more responsive and the lag is reduced to minimal. It also makes the whole indicator implicitly adaptive (being that Vidya is adaptive)

Dsl DMI - (vidya) - new version

This falls into "experiments" category too
Dsl DMI - (vidya) - new version - with a direct intervention in the DMI calculation - this version allows to have smoothed ranges (not ATR, but the range - the first step of dmi calculation). It seems that the lag added is almost non-existent (see the example)
Some parameters experimenting advised - and for the icing on the cake, vidya smoothing (since it is adaptive) on the end of calculation should add some more value to the already useful DMI oscillator

Thanks for the pretty invention :)
one question plz - It always confuse me - what exact "DMI" stand for as there are two different descriptions
1 : Dynamic Momentum Index
2 : Directional Movement Index
how a standard user can differentiate in between - and plz some explanations regarding all 2 sort indicators.
regards
Indicator is just a tool.

Use it only if it can benefit you. Leave it if you don't know how to use it optimally.

DMI is coming from the name that Welles Wilder used for it (some more information can be found here : DMI - Welles Wilder). With an addition of "average" it became the ADX

But DMI in this case is DMI oscillator - not quite DMI (ADX) but very similar to it. Using almost the math used by ADM (ADX) too
