It's all correct because...

BODMAS
An initialism of "Brackets, Orders (powers, square roots, etc.), Division and Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction," used as a mnemonic in mathematics for remembering the order of operations when calculating an expression.

example 1: 25/2=12.5 (there is ONLY the division operation)

example 2: 10+15/2=17.5 (in this expression the division operation goes first then the result is added to 10)

so, a morning exercise :D

And its solution:
1 + a_n = 1 + 1/(2 + a_(n-1))
however, in the limit n -> Infinity,
we have a_n = a_(n-1). Lets define it to be 'a'.
So, a = 1/(2 + a), that is a^2 + 2 a - 1 = 0
which gives a = +/- sqrt(2) - 1
thus 1 + a = +/- sqrt(2), but the solution with
the minus sign should be rejected as the expression is
obviously positive, so we obtain sqrt(2).

As far as I remember math......Divisions and multiplications are carried out first if there are no brackets....... :D
like 2:10 = 0.2
15/2 = 7.5
Result = 7.7

Another way would be....
2 : 10 + 15/2 = 77/10 = 7.7
