An artificial intelligence startup which provides humans romantic relationships with AI is looking to hire 10 "masturbation consultants" for $2,000 per month. The company, which operates a platform for "AI-lationships", has received over 100,000 job applications. The "consultants" will test the new "daily guided masturbation feature" by masturbating.
“In a sign of how far the tech world has drifted into the surreal, an AI startup is paying people thousands of dollars to jerk off on company time. While Americans grind through real jobs and families face rising costs, this venture frames self-gratification as cutting-edge wellness research,” Steve Watson reported on Modernity News Wednesday.
The firm, Joi AI, posted the job listing on social media on May 18. That post had received 23.4 million views by the publishing of this article. On Tuesday the firm commented that the applicants have “broke the link” – likely from the sheer volume of traffic.
The masturbation consultants will reportedly use AI voice sessions matched to a user’s mood and record its impact on stress, sleep, mood, focus and energy levels over the course of a month.
