It depends on the broker, and if someone uses a demo, there will always be an update to the beta. There is no reliable method to disable this, at least I don't know of one.jackboton wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 9:30 am After uninstalling the original version and reinstalling, I found that the symbols were displaying normally again. However, shortly after, a prompt indicated that the update was complete and required a restart, after which the symbols became garbled again. Does this version update automatically?

Re: 🔺 MT5 XARD - Simple Trend Following Trading System
1344the latest solution to stop auto update I found on google is :
1) run the platform in the Portable mode:
2) Go to the %appdata%\MetaQuotes\Terminal\ folder
u can use windows key + R and paste i there and hit enter to find it easy or from meta trader that u use
3) Find the terminal you want to stop update (terminal path is shown in the origin.txt):
4) Deny Write permission for All Groups and Users.
Locate the folder: Right-click on the folder you want to modify and select "Properties".
Access the Security tab: In the Properties window, click on the "Security" tab.
Edit permissions: Click the "Edit" button to change the permissions.
Select user/group: Choose the user or group you want to restrict from writing to the folder.
Deny Write permission: In the "Permissions for [User/Group]" section, find the "Write" permission and check the "Deny" box.
Apply changes: Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.
Does this work i have no idea
