It depends on the broker, and if someone uses a demo, there will always be an update to the beta. There is no reliable method to disable this, at least I don't know of one.

Install version 5430 and solve the problem.

the latest solution to stop auto update I found on google is :

1) run the platform in the Portable mode:

u can use windows key + R and paste i there and hit enter to find it easy or from meta trader that u use

3) Find the terminal you want to stop update (terminal path is shown in the origin.txt):


4) Deny Write permission for All Groups and Users.

Access the Security tab: In the Properties window, click on the "Security" tab.
Edit permissions: Click the "Edit" button to change the permissions.
