This indicator is designed to measure how "extreme" the current market prices are compared to recent history and represent the retail trader crowd "feeling" towards the market.
The indicator calculates a Z-score of the closing price over a given lookback period.
The Z-score is designed to show you how far the latest price deviates from its recent average in terms of standard deviations.
Interpretation

- Indicator is above
2.0level: Crowd is euphoric and price could soon fall.- Indicator is below
-2.0level: Crowd is fearful and price could soon rebound.- "Classic" divergences are an additional confirmation of a price reversal.
- "Hidden" divergences can be used as a signal that the trend will continue.
