"Ukrainian Army Bleeds Out: 400,000 Desert" Ukrainian MP Anna Skorokhod;

attributing this mass exodus to โ€œbrutal command, forced conscription, and inhumane treatment - soldiers "treated like animals.โ€

MASSIVE HINT: An army that's successful and winning does not need to kidnap people off the street and do not have mass desertions. That's a fact from all history.

A winning army often won't even need to mobilise or conscript, they'll have queues of volunteers. Just like the Russian army actually.

Trump's fake casualty numbers is the lynch pin the west uses to keep the whole shitshow on the road and driving Ukraine over the cliff, without it the whole facade would collapse along with any public support still left. The aim seems to be to screw every last penny leaving nothing but the husk of a country.

There is 2 wars going on here, Russia vs Ukraine and Russia vs NATO. There will need to be 2 joined peace agreements but there is no real effort to come to any kind of terms at all.

The Russian stance now seems fixed, to be ready for talks, but are only interested in finishing the conflict on their terms as stated by Putin over a year ago. If pushed Putin will be happy to punch right through to the old Novorossiya boundaries from the time of Catherine the Great where the population is still mostly ethnic Russian.

Turns out that the Russian rate of advance is not linear after all but is increasing steadily on a month by month basis according to the London Telegraph. So not 10 years to get to Kiev now apparently, who would have thought it? About to go exponential?

Neocons in the US senate, having forced Trump down the more sanctions path, are now looking to get a $55 billion funding bill for Ukraine, presumably having no faith in EU funding.

Continued western refusal to acknowledge that man power is Ukraine's main problem not equipment, weapons are useless if there's no one left to pull the trigger.

US politicians have suddenly started screaming that the US military is the best in the world but military historian Michael Vlahos disagrees, he say that Russia is now and it's thanks to .. err the US. Also btw the Chinese navy is now twice the size of America's. (D. Davis video)

On Trump's a deal or extra sanctions at the deadline on Friday. Commentators say that Russia is immune to sanctions, India does not do enough trade with the US for extra tariffs to stop them from importing Russian oil. And China no longer needs the US market enough to get down on their knees for it as they showed during the trade war a few months ago.

No one cares about Trump's 100% tariff threat let alone Lyndsey Graham's 500% threat. They will sell their cheap produce elsewhere just as Russia did.

India's Modi is now talking of taking a leaf out of Russia book and go for replacing western companies altogether with new Indian ones.

So why is Witkoff going to Moscow? The trip was delayed and rearranged for a few days latter (Wednesday?) Russia is not going to back down over the threat of sanctions but Trump really needs Putin to throw him some kind of a bone.

Re: WW3 Countdown

Claims that the Russian general staff published a report predicting Ukraine army collapse within 90 days, chief reason being was the decreased numbers and quality of Ukrainian troops.

The Ukrainian army is increasingly made up of old men and boys with minimal training being sent to the front. Those trained by NATO for the 2023 Ukraine offensive are all gone.

The Russians are saying that they are finding more and more gaps in Ukraine's defences that is leading to the increasing pace of the Russian advance and the increasing rate of territory gained.

Russia now attacking 2 major logistic hub cities at once, Pokrovsk in Donetsk and Kupiansk in Kharkiv oblast. There have been complaints on Ukraine SM of reserves being sent from Pok. to Kup. as defences are further stretched.

The delusion continues, both sides are willing to talk but only in regards to their own terms, and so there needs to be a greater clarification of who holds real strength and that will be determined on the battlefield.

The Russians are warning that the British are planning a major incident of sabotage on Russian oil tankers in order to declare the whole operation unsafe and make it illegal.

According to the SVR (Russian intel), the British are working on "two potential casus belli."
"The first scenario implicates setting up an 'unwanted' tanker accident in one
of bottlenecks of sea communications (for example, in straits). As it is believed
in London, oil spills and fairway blocking would provide NATO countries with
'sufficient" grounds for establishing a precedent of 'extraordinary' vessel
inspection under the guise of maritime safety and environmental regulations
compliance," the statement noted.

"The second one involves setting fire to a tanker at loading in a port of a state
friendly to Russia. It is expected that the fire would cause significant damage to
the port infrastructure and spread to other vessels, which would require an
international investigation," the SVR emphasized.

Of course the Brits want Ukrainians to do the actual dirty work apparently, the Brits love this type of BS so wouldn't surprise me.

Meanwhile Medvedev trolls Trump again on nukes, this time on Russia releasing itself from the missile treaty the US abandoned in 2019 but that Russia kept up.

Dmitry Medvedev @MedvedevRussiaE . 3h
The Russian Foreign Ministry's statement on the withdrawal of the
moratorium on the deployment of medium- and short-range missiles is the
result of NATO countries' anti-Russian policy.
This is a new reality all our opponents will have to reckon with. Expect
further steps.

Witkoff goes to Moscow today but surely not just to deliver Trump's pubic ultimatum, a secret deal perhaps. Is Trump playing 23D chess against the deep state or not?

China announces limits on rare earths and specialist magnet exports to the US which are essential to many US production lines especially in the military and specifically for missile production.

On Sanctions;

The trade tariff talks between China and the US are currently on a 90 day pause presumably for the US to sort out whether the tariffs on China will be 20% or maybe 100% or perhaps 500%, who knows.

20% and below are likely to be absorbed by Chinese suppliers as they were in the trade war of Trump's first presidency. Above 30% and there may be raised prices and inflation. 100% and above will probably stop exports from China altogether.

That would have been a major threat 10 years ago but now China has a huge choice of markets outside of the US and can just stop exporting there, a loss sure but not fatal.

Fed chair Powell has avoided lowering interest rates because of the prospect of higher inflation caused by Trump's tariffs. Trump knows the inflation risk and always starts full of bluster but always comes down to 20-30% at most, Lyndsey Graham talking 500% is deliberately being a fly in the ointment.

BTW around $8 trillion of US government debt is set to mature over the next 12 months and will need to be refinanced at Powell's high interest rates, much to Trump's public annoyance.

Re: WW3 Countdown

'Russia fails to break through Ukraine lines' โ€“ yeah, but it's deliberate.

Ukraine YouTubers celebrating lack of manoeuvre say Russia's summer offensive has failed not realising that the actual goal of Russian attrition is the straight out killing of Ukrainian soldiers, that's why Ukraine has such desperate man power problems, Trump take note.

If you believe Zelensky's figures on Ukraine's troop losses then Ukrainian reports of man power shortages make no sense, Ukraine must still have around a million men - they don't.

Some sources put the current figure as low as 300,000 which is why they are constantly being shifted about the battlefronts fire fighting.

Ex US military Douglas MacGregor says his intel contacts in Poland tell him the Ukraine army to date has lost 1.8 million dead.

First news after Witkoff's Moscow meeting on Wednesday evening UK time and Russia saying not much has changed while Trump says big progress and looks to meet with Putin within days. Seems very odd and not really possible.

Thursday morning and some reports say Putin may met with Trump soon.

I think Putin may have made a mistake, he has allowed Trump to dream the moon, again, and Trump will lose his temper when he doesn't get it, again.

Everyone knows Trump needs constant buttering up but over this topic what Trump really needs a sharp dose of reality.

Leaders don't meet until all is basically sorted and they turn up to cross the T's, dot the I's and smile for the photo op. Maybe they have made a deal but I would be very surprised unless it's a western capitulation.

What's more likely is Putin tells Witkoff he might give 1, Witkoff tells Trump Putin is ready to give 10, Trump tells everyone Putin is desperate to give him 100.

When Putin turns up with 1, Trump blows a fuse and blames Putin for making him look a fool.

Trump is a narcissist (apparently all the good leaders are), he doesn't hear anything he won't like and exaggerates everything he does like.

I may turn out to be totally wrong and maybe they are close to some deal after all but can't really see it.

Meanwhile Bloomberg say Russia are desperate for an air ceasefire โ€“ obvious bullshit again from Bloomberg. Same as an unconditional ceasefire, the side with the advantage never gives it up for nothing, there must be a reasonable exchange for it or they just won't.

Zelensky and Trump have always expected Putin to surrender. They happily chat away together about the Russian economy collapsing and massive Russian troop losses.

They're both equally delusional, mainly because they both believe, hook, line and sinker, their own propaganda.

'Never get high on your own supply' fits here.

We know Zelensky blows his top at any bad news so his generals just don't tell him any, maybe it's the same with Trump now.

Some ask why do the Russians make a cauldron and never close it up to totally surround the enemy but instead leave it open and allow some to escape.

The reason is that it's a lot easier and safer to kill enemy troops who are running away over open ground on foot than when they're hiding out in the rubble, simple.

AP reports Trump is in secret talks with China (hope so), the US just wants some of it's manufacturing back not an actual war (except the neocons who always only want war).

Increasingly looking that the US military is totally dependant Chinese rare earths and magnets which is a bit of a strategic mistake.

Price of rare earths up 5x and specialist magnets capable of operating in extreme high temperatures (eg in missiles) x60 if actually obtainable at all.

Re: WW3 Countdown

Deadline day today but the deadline's been blurred, surprise surprise.

The Trump/Putin meeting looks like another bust. Leaks from Poland about that the 'deal' makes it look like just another ceasefire to me, the Russians said what they were 'told' was agreeable and they could talk about it.

Trump took that to mean progress and immediately got on the phone to everyone and told them so.

It was then said Putin added a few ideas of his own to the plan, Trump now not so keen.

Trump now says that the meeting must include Zelensky, Putin now not so keen.

This is all nonsense, nothing seems to have changed at all which is no surprise.

The Russians should stop being so soft in talks, it just leads Trump to the wrong conclusion and makes him mad when he realises it he's got it all wrong.

Seeing Trump keep grasping at straws is getting painful to watch and is not helping the Russians at all.

Witkoff is a Trump stooge, we don't know what he's telling the Russians and then telling Trump afterwards, why is he doing Rubio's job?.

Trump says he nearly had a deal 4 times, he never did really and him thinking so is Witkoff and Putin's fault. Putin is not factoring in that he's dealing with an outrageous ego who knows nothing of international diplomacy.

Later in the day Russia released an official readout of the Witkoff Putin meeting that said no concessions were made by the US or Russia at all and that it was the Americans who initiated the whole thing, and the only thing agreed on was a possible meeting between Trump and Putin.

I paraphrase, the whole Russian readout is actually so couched in diplomatic speak that I doubt Trump or Witkoff could make much sense of it let alone understand the messaging.

The Russians really have to take into account who they're talking to because Trump is going to say now it's 5 times he thought had a deal and then Putin let him down again.

The Russian diplomats don't seem to understand that Trump doesn't have a diplomatic team at all. Trump and Witkoff are just a couple of NY real estate hustlers and even diplomacy 101 goes way over their heads.

This is all bullshit anyway. Trump, just days before his deadline expiry, knows the tariffs will hurt the US more than India and China and Trump knows Putin won't fold so he sent Witkoff to Moscow and set the whole thing up to fail giving him an excuse to postpone the deadline.

โ€œWe had a deal, I thought we had a deal, then he goes and bombs an orphanage for Christ sake!!!!!โ€, we've heard it all before (about 20 times actually).

Trump was supposed to have a news conference on the talks at 11pm US time but nothing happened that I can see.

On sanctions and tariffs it seems that Trump often uses exemptions, for example the Indian tariffs only really apply to their diamond trade, most everything else has an exemption.

A few days ago, I read information that the Kremlin
is confident it will achieve its goals within three months,
as it now has a significant advantage. In this situation,
it's obviously not interested in a quick agreement,
but rather in stalling for time. Vitkov, probably unrealistic,
portrayed the situation and his talks in Moscow in rosy tones,
and now they're being corrected.
