Trump wanted an early peace, he got the opposite. His advisors told him the way to an early peace was to get a ceasefire and then a freeze while focusing on territorial claims but no one on the western side had listened to the Russians.

If they did they would have realised an unconditional ceasefire was just a deferment of the problems that started the conflict and the last thing the Russians wanted.

Russia's concerns were security based not territorial and an 'off the cuff' no NATO for Ukraine from Trump while all the European leaders and the head of NATO were all saying 'of course Ukraine will join NATO' was enough for the Russians to turn their back on the whole process.

If they couldn't get security guarantees then taking a buffer zone would have to suffice.

So negotiations got nowhere and the attrition conflict raged on and began to bite deeper and deeper into Ukraine.

Trump presumably knows that his threat of tariffs on China and India for buying Russian oil will adversely affect world trade and supply lines and will end up hurting the US more than Russia, just as the European sanctions hurt Europe and not Russia.

There is no way out for Ukraine or Trump or NATO except defeat and neither want to admit it. So the war will rumble on until Ukraine can't take it anymore which won't be until after the money flow stops.

So Trump is stalling and there are now real signs the US have had enough funding this debacle.

Ukraine is going to be partitioned between west and east, the only question is where.

But the fighting is not over yet, especially if the Europeans have anything to do about it. They, and Ukraine, really need to provoke Putin into an over reaction that might pull the US into the hot war, watch out for it.

Europe really needs this, the money made from the industrial revolution and colonialism is all spent, they have nothing else, no natural resources and no cheap energy anymore though China was going to overrun European production anyway.

75 Trillion Dollars of Russian natural resources would be a real life saver. Force the 10 million young male immigrants into the army (in return for citizenship), issue Euro bonds to raise €800 billion for military production, and away we go. Don't worry, Ursula van der Satan is on it.

Ukraine is going to be partitioned between west and east, the only question is where?

US diplomacy 101: Trump instructs Russia to accept an unconditional ceasefire or else. Russia says no. WHAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!

The US has a major problem now, Russia, backed by China, India and Brazil is not going to comply and the US cannot enforce it's threat to destroy the Russian economy.

The rest of the world is watching and taking notes.

Trump, spurred on by US neocon morons, is going to come out of this looking like a complete idiot. This will go down in history as the exact moment the US lost it's global hegemony (and any respect in the world).

Trump has already revealed his tariff strategy to the world. Threaten huge then climb down to something manageable. He already just played it on China. China knows Trump knows the devastation a sudden stopping of all trade will cause the world economy.

Besides, China, India and Brazil cannot organise new oil supplies in 50 days anyway even if they wanted so are not even going bother. Trump must climb down unless he wants to cripple the US economy.

So why has Trump put himself in this position? He listens to BS and gets carried away. Admittedly the 50 days deadline was arbitrary anyway.

So now Trump says there must be a deal within 10 days or he will impose sanctions on Russia (there are no sanctions left that will make any difference to Russia) and impose 100% tariffs on China, India and Brazil (who are more than happy to watch the price of oil go through the roof while they have contracts to buy cheap Russian oil).

Trump ''a deal in 24 hours no, 100 days no, just days from walking away no, a deal in 2 weeks no, 50 days no, 10 days - err yeah that's the one ... or maybe 14.''

Trump must have just spoken to Starmer and, as usual, immediately adopted the talking points of the last person he spoke to. Warning, Starmer is nowhere near the sharpest knife in the draw.

Regarding the Russian so called 'shadow fleet' transporting Russian oil, some say why doesn't the west just blockade it or whatever. The point is that there's nothing at all illegal about it and to interfere with it would be a blatant act of war. Estonia already FAFO.

Meanwhile, economists are reporting in MSM now that Russia's economic collapse is not actually coming anytime soon after all, despite much wishful thinking, and is certainly not going to happen before Ukraine's impending military collapse.

Re: WW3 Countdown

Some peeps are asking if maybe Trump isn't in charge after all and now really just wants the conflict to continue for the sake of all those poor investors in the US military industrial complex.

And Zelensky can't stop until the money spigot dries up, the money flow to Zelensky supporters and Ukrainian oligarchs props the whole show up.

Trump said in an interview that he wasn't sure if more sanctions on Russia would work which means he knows full well they will have no effect at all and are only being done for the look of the thing.

Trump's new policy is has nothing to do with peace and is just a case of handing over the cost of the conflict to the European taxpayer who will be paying for all the US weapons and equipment plus social aid for Ukraine from now on.

PS, the Europeans don't actually have a pot to piss in so if you're profiting from this conflict make as much as you can now before it all goes to hell (see note below on the S&P Ukraine credit rating).

The EU just promised the US $750billion for energy, promised their own defence industry $800billion and have now taken on $120billion a year to fund Ukraine. It's all a fantasy.

The individual EU countries are all mortgaged to the hilt so Ursula van der Clown is dreaming of a new Euro Bond to raise all this new money despite such a thing being not legal. But the EU has a growing reputation for changing the rules at the drop of a hat.

The EU has also come up with a cunning plan to move the Russian frozen assets to a more risky investment vehicle to generate more money for them to send to Ukraine.

Euroclear, who are responsible for the fund so far say no. Reminder that the EU want to take the lot but have held back and are only stealing the interest the assets generate instead.

Euroclear who controls the account say they're already fighting off over 100 court actions from Russians who's money is tied up.

Euroclear tell the EU they will need to provide guarantees to Euroclear against litigation if the EU move of the funds. The EU don't seem to like that idea so much.

And Ukraine received a D (default) credit rating from Standard & Poor which begs the question how come the World Bank and the IMF are still lending them money?

Zelensky is saying they still need another $60 billion for this year and so it's down to the EU to find it. Reminder that when the music stops then it's an automatic collapse of the currency and hyperinflation for Ukraine.

Faced with defeat can the neocons turn the Ukraine conflict into the next forever war? A long term money spinner for the military industrial complex.

Ukraine itself will become another Afghanistan but what the hell.

Martin Armstrong says some are calling for NATO to declare a proxy war on Russia and that they are intending to send in 250,000 troops to Ukraine.

Trump is slowly being turned by the neocons.

Armstrong also claims that NGOs in Ukraine have been warned what's coming.

If that were to happen then it would be just the start because 250,000 would be nowhere near enough to confront the Russians, in fact the Russians are ready for just such a development.

That's why the Russians had 1 army, now 2, standing on the sidelines seemingly doing nothing for 2 years.

But that's the point, it would be the latest escalation in a long line of western escalations trying to get Putin to react and be blamed for starting a war with the pure as the driven snow defensive alliance that is NATO.

Forever wars against third world countries are great fun (joke) and a real boon for investors but against the worlds biggest nuclear power – I don't know but I'm not so sure that's such a good idea.

The excuse will be humanitarian because of Putin killing a person for every 500 drones and missiles he sends over, absolute proof Putin is targeting civilians. Yes every civilian death is tragic but to use a false narrative to justify escalating a war is more tragic.

CNN are reporting that some Ukrainian army brigades have not seen reinforcements for over 8 months.

"We have a critical shortage of personnel. No one wants to fight. The war is over (for them)," CNN cited the serviceman assaying. "The old personnel are left, they are tired and want to be replaced, but no one is replacing them."

60 year olds next to be snatched off the streets and thrown into the back of the van to be driven off the front. New orders by Zelensky to boost recruitment but they won't be put on the frontline he says (except of course they will).

The demographic in Ukraine has now completely collapsed beyond any hope of recovery, Ukraine cannot survive as a nation state so ho hum what the hell.

Half the original population has gone abroad with no hope of them returning to an increasingly devastated country.

The economy will collapse with rampant hyperinflation following the inevitable end of western aid which is a certainty once the primary goal of 'hurting Russia' has completely evaporated.

That leaves a small rump state with no industry facing a decade if not decades of poverty.

From 46 million in 2010 to 20 million now, once the fighting stops people won't come back to what's left, a large group will rather take the opportunity to get out themselves and join relatives already settled abroad.

Isn't it amazing how completely you can fuck up a country if you really persevere.

The US will keep selling weapons, Macron, Merz and Starmer want more war to keep the US in Europe, Zelensky and the Ukrainian elite want more money, so on and on it goes.

If there was any integrity they would have called a halt a long time ago. What has come to pass was foreseeable literally years ago.

But the media keeps on trumpeting the blatant lies pumped out daily by neocons and Ukrainian propaganda without a second thought while the western public continue to suck it up even as the actual situation in Ukraine obviously, inevitably, keeps deteriorating, everyone keeps pretending not to notice.

And the worst is still to come, the final stages of attrition war are swift, unstoppable and completely devastating.

NATO never intended to be in a war of attrition with Russia but seeing as the sanctions failed and it's Ukrainians who're doing the dying, so what the hell.

Blinken always said that so long as the completely corrupt Zelensky wanted to keep going (on behalf of the whole country) the west would continue to support them (even if it meant the total destruction of that country).

Because Zelensky is totally corrupt and western leaders have no integrity there will be no saving Ukraine, it's fate is sealed.
