What exactly is the Optimized Trend Tracker code about?

The Optimized Trend Tracker is a modified Chande Momentum Oscillator (CMO) with a moving average-based trend filter.

• The OTT period (length) is set to 9 (can be modified).
• A percentage factor (percent) of 1.4% is used for threshold adjustments.

The Optimized Trend Tracker (OTT) serves as a trend-following indicator that modifies its functionality in response to the market's momentum (CMO) and fluctuations in price. It functions as a flexible stop-loss mechanism as well as a trend filter, producing buy and sell signals when prices breach OTT thresholds.

This tool assists traders in maintaining their positions within trends while minimizing the risk of false signals by adapting to price volatility in real time.

Note that with small periods the differences between the averages are not too big (unless you use a really slow average like ADXVMA, EOTF, OTT....)
