The other consideration could be if you have more that one mt4 installation - open the data folder from within mt4 and navigate to MQL4 ->Indicators.
There you should have a folder like XU-v001 or XU-v78, depending on the version installed.

This is it. Even the folder i just put inside is not showing.

If the XU folder is indeed in the correct installation indicator folder but it is not showing in the navigator window, it might be that you have too many indicators installed.

Try opening the indicators folder, select all other custom indicators and folders, cut and paste to a new tmp folder on your desktop. Then refresh two times within mt4 navigator window. Is the XU folder now showing in the navigator window?

If yes you had too many indicators installed. Make a selection which folders to re-paste back into indicators folder.

for the system which xard shared a few days back . are there any examples of the few trades taken to learn how to use this system

would appreciate any help for a newbie on where to look

this is how mt4 looks

XARD: You simply double left mouse click on the font and it should install or you should at least see the install button to click at this point, then repeat for all fonts. Once done just restart MT4 and you should be good to go. Also, make sure that your resolution is at 100% (usually it defaults to 150% or bigger depending on how big a screen you use).
