please don't quote stuff from the Bible, it is not a accurate source of information.

There were arabs, jews, european settlers (called them what you want) that lived there over the years, wars and revolts, migrations forced or not, slavery not only of the jews. That happened all over the world, that part of the world is not special at all. Special is the religion part, that's what sets it apart from similar stories all around the world and what sets the jews apart from other displaced populations by wars, revolts, slavery, etc...

Even before the British took over the Palestine, there were jews, arabs and europeans all mixed up living there, there were no major problems. After WWI there were already migration of jews to the Palestine and still there were no major issues. The problems started with the mass migration after WWII and especially when the zionists decided to take the land for themselves, not share like before, take.

Sure the Arabs wanted to created a Arab state that included the Palestine, that could have had the opposite effect. But that never really happened. this is what happened.
