In my opnion its true that we can make consistent and decent amount of money from forex I keep in mind few things
1. trade with at least 10,000$ if you want to make decent bucks per month
2. make risk management your sacred mantra 1:2 is minimum otherwise forget about forex trading
3. dont run for making 50-90 pips per day trade if a trade comes that good its ok but dont run behind pips
4. Know your trading system weather it be identifying money spots on your own in a naked chart or some decent trading system( dont buy any make your own its imp) . the more you know the more you grow. for that you have to work hard real hard but the returns are going to be amazing my friend ..

I can now answer my question due to me maturing and understanding the Market a little better now. As promised, I would reveal a methodology that has helped me trade more consistently than ever before. In short, the ONLY way to confirm your entry (IMO) is via strength and weakness utilizing currency baskets. For a detailed explanation, please look at my post regarding Bitcoin going down...

If anyone incorporates this strategy, then ALL of your strategies WORK! I've spent 100s of hours with indicators, patterns, news, watching FX youtube vids, trying to determine where price will go. In my opinion, it's all crap! There are instances where the news is great and you buy...you still lose! The news is bad and you sell...you still lose! There is no news...you still lose!
The one thing I have found to be consistent ALWAYS is currency baskets' strength and weakness. I hope this helps anyone who was struggling like me and Happy Trading to all!

Your post is amazing. This feels like some kind of miracle, because searching for a currency strength metre to exploit what you just described actually brought me to this thread. I have a pretty solid algo now with great indicators from this superb community but knowing exactly what to trade has been my major concern. I still have a bit of a challenge understanding how you setup your baskets for this. Is there a way to reach you personally and possibly work together?.

naluvs01 wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2019 2:06 am But Forex is not that complicated in my opinion.
So you whine because you dont make money , and you are still so blind that you write this.
This is why you fail. It demonstrates the fact that you still didnt put your ego aside and you will get your ass kicked as long as you dont do it.
You want to be right all the time because you are so good , so beautifull , so inteligent and so rich.
Get REKT.

The second reason why you fail is because you didnt backtest your strategy.
Backtest a strategy before testing it live. If its profitable , you are good to go.

I made all these mistakes myself , its hard to get rid of it, but possible.

as soon as you move on past those two things , you will get profitable
sorry for the honest answer

Yes.

Is possible to actually make money with Forex.
But you will have to make Human Sacrifices to Mammom.

If you don't have it for the moment and just punctually Skittles will work too (the Red blood color) But don't do this constantly or He will be Offended.

Hi naluvs01,

My name is Beam, and I'm from Thailand. Thank you so much for starting this thread—it has truly been a spark of inspiration for me.

I know it’s been several years since you posted this. I've been in the Forex trading world for about 4-5 years now, but honestly, I feel like my trading journey hasn't progressed much. I’m really looking for some good guidance from an experienced mentor.

I'm not sure where you are in your trading journey right now, but I can imagine how hard you must have worked to find the key to making trading a profession. I have a lot of respect for your patience, dedication to learning, and continuous development.

I hope you get a chance to see this post. If you ever have some free time to share any advice or point me in the right direction, I would be incredibly grateful.

Best regards,
Boxnap

I can give some good news. I have found a sort of edge in the market. I had to remove myself from all the foolish teachings and indicators. Only 1 thing matters: strength and weakness. I'll provide you with a nugget of advice. Pick a time frame you want to trade; then select 3 moving averages that reflect the major moves. If you are trying to trade the lower time frames (1, 5, 15 MIN, etc.), choose large moving averages that represent hours, days, or a week. Once you figure this out, you need a contrarian indicator to represent the sell side. I recommend the WVF.

You then have to create your own entry and exit rules. You also need a currency basket indicator, like the CCFP. Try to select two averages that represent the strength of currencies in a linear fashion. This will tell you where to look for highly probable trades. I'll show you quickly. I have an example on the 1-hour (EURUSD) chart and chose the 24/120 LWMAs (Linear Weighted Moving Averages). I selected the CCFP and chose 24/120 MAs linear weighted. This information tells me where to look for trades. In the example, EUR is gold and USD is white. Another thing to note is that when one value is above zero and the other is below zero, this situation provides excellent confluence. This is not for entries, but just to tell you where to look.

Then I want something that reveals the sell-side strength independently. This is where the WVF comes in. If you discover a better indicator that can do this, then great. Now the WVF is not used for this purpose, but this is how I interpret the indicator. I recommend the WPR (120) and WVF (120) with 120 LWMAs added to both indicator windows. The key is that the CCFP tells you where to look, while the chart LWMAs confirm the directional bias. For buys, you want the WPR above the MA and the WVF below, and vice versa for sells.

This trading strategy can give you highly probable trade setups. If the CCFP has two currencies close to each other, there could be a struggle in price movement. You want the path of least resistance. Again, this is an example, so research and try different things, but I feel this may help you in your journey.

Correct, market situation - matching strong versus weak for high probability of a strong movement in one direction.

General chart structure - conference of moving averages indicating that strong movement in one direction is happening.

Either finding an asset with these attributes or waiting for the attributes to appear on the chart of your choice (remember that everything is matched, even if just to a currency, DOW 30 is DOW 30 versus USD), is key to finding high probability trades.

After such criteria are met then you can apply your favourite holy grail indicator, not before.

Most systems can work if applied to the correct and necessary underlying chart framework. Without it no holy grail indicator can ever work.

And that’s where most people fall down, throwing indicators at a hopeless chart structure and expecting it to stick.
