Actually this Precision Trend histo 2 doesn't repaint - SO could you please add MTF.
Jim
Many thanks,Re: Trend Indicators for MT4
1222Where you using mtf?Jim67 wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 7:19 pm Hi Mr Tools et al,
Is it possible to make either of these indicators non repainting?
I have run tests and watched them live - they both repaint quite badly.
Many thanks,
Jim
There's a difference between repainting and recalculating.

1223Looking forward to making a histo version of the masterpiece Awesome averages (arrows + alerts + mtf + btn) into this shape when the teacher has some free time.
Infinite merit!

1226Also, to add, those averages were added by someone else (not sure why). Only reason i can think to add averages to that indicator is for pre-smoothing.Jim67 wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 7:19 pm Hi Mr Tools et al,

Re: Trend Indicators for MT4
1227Jurik Trend (5,5,0) has these weird horizontal lines.
Here's the template.
Oh, and watch out for divergences.
----------------------------------------------
edit 7/14/22:
Now I know why Jurik Trend (5,5,0) is weird.
The minimum is 0 and the the maximum is 100.
That's why the lines are flat at the minimum and at the maximum.

Re: Trend Indicators for MT4
1228Hi Mr Tools,
Initially I had them loaded on M15 chart with MTF set to D1 and H4 within indicators.
When both H4 + D1 aligned confirmed signal for Buy or Sell (eg D1 Sell + H4 Sell). However, often after entering signal the indicators change to not being aligned (eg D1 Sell buy H4 change Buy).
Is that re-calculating or repainting?
Can't see the difference as still not useable for signal confirmation.
So then used NNFx Algo Tester Repaint Test and it said both repaint (screenshots provided in earlier post)
Whereas precision_trend_histo_2 NNFx Repaint Test said No repainting.
How does one use MTF if not like example above?
Sorry for my ignorance.
Any chance could make attached precision trend hist 2 MTF too?
Many thanks,
Jim

simply what you describe here is normal when you use indicator in mtf , the indicator doesn't redraw until the higher time frame is closed....
