Did any trading group make an experiment where traders would be compared to machines in the making of a average price smoother
the traders would "draw" their moving average manually on the chart each new bar, and it would be compared to the best performing moving averages (jurik, etc) performance wise
it would allow to know if the brain is superior than machines in filtering price action, and then if men beat machines, it means it would possible to create an automatic MA that performs like the brain does.
could be an interesting experiment
has it been done yet ? What do you think ?

Re: Experiment
3Of Course it sounds very interesting. Machines can be quick at computing but at the end of the day, they are designed and made by human minds.

Re: Experiment
7In my opinion, quantum computers or trading robots can master hundreds of millions of indicators on the earth (even tens of thousands of new indicators may increase every minute on the earth), and it places orders based on the probability of profit. If you don't consider transaction costs (handling fees, interest, etc.), humans cannot beat robots. Even considering transaction costs, humans still cannot beat machines!
Therefore, the outcome of individuals and small funds in the financial trading market is destined to be miserable. Even large funds are zombies in front of robots.
Then, the most sensible way for a fool like me to survive in the financial trading market is to reduce the number of transactions, seize the trading opportunities with a high probability of making money, make a small amount of money and leave in time, and wait for the next opportunity. Give up sensibly for opportunities that are not grasped!
Even mladen himself (the technology has reached its peak), only does intraday trading. Besides, fools like me. Ha ha!

Re: Experiment
8starting from 1-2 years, each person develops the instinct that any object left free falls down (gravity), so a person has an initially asymmetrical perception and an error of movement up and down, which is not the case for a machineionone wrote: Tue Jun 22, 2021 7:38 pm Did any trading group make an experiment where traders would be compared to machines in the making of a average price smoother
