To shine some light on the topic, let’s take a look at a few excerpts from a recent article written by Silicon Valley antitrust lawyer Gary Reback.

Below are some choice excerpts from the piece, You Should Be Outraged at Google’s Anti-Competitive Behavior:

Before 2007, if a user searched for a product on Google, other sites listing prices for that product would appear among the general search results, ranked in the order of their quality to users. These “comparison shopping sites” were designed to identify merchants with the lowest prices. The more accurate and comprehensive their results, the higher they were ranked and the more traffic they generated.

But the more successful that comparison shopping sites became, the more they threatened Google’s business plan. Google makes money by selling ads placed next to its free search results, and merchants could not be expected to bid for ad placement if the listings in comparison shopping sites on the same search undercut their prices.

The Turkish government has taken another step into restricting the activities of the forex brokers and traders in the country. According to a publication in the state gazette, leveraged trading or having leveraged trading accounts with foreign brokers that are not licensed by the Turkey's financial markets regulator, the Capital Markets Board (SPK), is illegal for residents of the country.
The new restriction in essence means that trading with unregulated forex brokers is forbidden in Turkey. It also means that some of the foreign forex brokers like Saxo Bank and XTB, which recently withdrew from Turkey, but were counting on taking Turkish clients through subsidiaries and partners, might not be able to do so.

You may call me old fashioned but I like this idea :) It is not forcing it is leading the kids to something better then drugs and guns. Chicago is one of the most criminal’s city I’ve been. There are neighborhoods that even I (man with solid weight and skills) was scared to walk alone

On the one hand you are right LazarR this is not so bad as it could provoke the kids to do something meaningful with their lives after high school instead of implicating themselves in some troubles .It could certainly keep them off the streets and out of gang activity , on the other hand maybe it violates their rights

A big driver isn’t central banks who want to be able to inflict negative interest rates on savers, or Treasuries who see cash transactions as hiding revenues from their tax collectors, but the payment networks that want to kill cash (and checks!) as competitors to their oh so terrific (and fee-gouging) credit and debit cards.

...went to a resort over the weekend...most merchants weren't accepting anything but cash...(and rest of the merchants were charging ridiculous fees for using credit cards)
