This is a version using the built in cci. Can you add adjustable smoothing to this indicator so that it doesn't react to small fluctuations? I'll show you what I mean in the picture. I understand that the sensitivity of the indicator can be reduced by increasing the period, but then the indicator is delayed.

I was trying to get the performance of this indicator similar to another indicator that is being repaint. Unfortunately, it doesn't work to get similar results without smoothing the indicator.

749Mathematicians probably won't be surprised. But I found it interesting.
If you add up two alternative CCI and put a moving average on them, they will look similar to each other.
