Zelensky increasing support of failure in Kursk as western propaganda press finally climb onboard having initially dismissed the incursion.

The goal was to capture the Kursk nuclear power plant in the first couple of days. Many commentators now coming to this conclusion especially following the Ukrainian deep fake report pretending to come from the Rus press spokeswoman about exchanging the Zap NPP for the (captured) Kursk NPP.

But the reality now is that the Ukr reserves are stuck in a cauldron killing zone well short of the NPP and no other objectives anywhere near as Russian reserve forces continue to arrive in force to this remote part of the front.

Oh dear, Zelensky now trying to get people to believe that the Kursk incursion was purely to capture Russian territory and not to seize the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) at all.

The snag is that there is nothing else in that region but Zelensky has committed 11,000 men in 3 waves and all they have to show is a patch of rural Russia with nothing for miles around.

Russian troops on arrival first secured the power plant and as more forces arrived begin the task of driving the Ukr troops out.

So Zelensky sent in his elite special forces, the reserves from the Belarus border and then stripped troops from the Donbass front (which were already being pushed back) to gain a few rural villages on the other side of the country from his stated goals, and now they are stuck there.

Looks like the last gasp actions of a desperate commander given they were already short of men and the Russians had plenty of reserves to handle the situation without depleting any from the real battlefronts.

No NPP = no bargaining chip = total failure.

Special officers of the GUR destroyed dozens of occupiers and their equipment on the scythe

On August 9, 2024, as a result of a raid on the Kinburn spit occupied by the Russians, six units of enemy armored vehicles were destroyed and about three dozen invaders were eliminated.

The amphibious operation was carried out by the units "Khimera", "Stugna", "Paragon", "Siberian Battalion", "Terror" as part of the Timur special unit of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with the support of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and in cooperation with other components of the State Security and Defense Forces.

During the mission on the spit, special forces attacked Russian fortifications at their positions "Kinburn Fortress", "Marine Station" and "Suvorov Monument".

Near the latter, soldiers of the GUR installed the battle flag of the Military Intelligence of Ukraine.

The Kinburn spit will be free, like all other temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Zelensky has no more reserves to send to Kursk. 300 in the first wave was to capture the Kursk nuclear power plant then another 3000 to reinforce that failure, then 7,000 were stripped from the eastern front and sent into Kursk on 1 days notice for the third wave.

But to do what? 11,000 is nowhere near enough to hold a bridgehead into Russia for very long. The Russians reinforced the power plant and Ukr no longer heading that way. They seem to be just trying to occupy rural space with no clear goals at all. They're not putting pressure on any geographic objectives because there aren't any.

Already 10% of the total Ukr force have been 'destroyed' and Russian troops continue to build up in the sparsely populated region. Meanwhile, the eastern front is now collapsing at a faster rate since the Ukr troop redeployment to Kursk. Russia seem content to continue the steady attrition of eliminating Ukr men and equipment in a steady rate. They have never really cared where that happens so long as it does.

This Ukr 'victory' can't last till November (US election) and would seem to be a last gasp effort using up the last of Ukr reserves which will only serve to speed up the Ukr military collapse.
