*Russia may strike German drone makers, or a ‘warning shot’ nuke strike into Ukraine.

*Zelensky aide Yermak is put in jail and Zelensky's wife is under investigation.

*No more large payments for Ukraine.

*US objective in Iran always was and remains Regime change.

The recent 600 Ukrainian drone attack on Russia was meant to be aimed at the May 9th Moscow parade day until Russian Intel found out and Putin phoned Trump telling him to stop it.

The drones used by Ukraine are all produced in western Europe mostly in Germany. The Russians have correctly surmised they can attack Germany without repercussions.

NATO might fire missiles back, if they have any which is debatable, but Russia has a proven air defence system well used to dealing with NATO missiles and drones.

NATO will not use nukes in response to a conventional weapons attack on Germany, or to a Russian nuke attack on Ukraine because it would be suicide. Russia would push the button to return fire with their own nukes if they did.

Reminder that only France has independent control of any nukes in Europe, Britain has some but needs US codes to fire them.

So a Russian missile attack with conventional warheads on Germany's drone making facilities is very possible.

Western controlled anti corruption teams in Ukraine have put Yermak in jail, he was relieved of post months ago but continued to work behind the scenes as Zelensky's number 2.

They are also investigating Zelensky's wife, their reports also mention someone referred to as ‘Number 1’ as being a kingpin of organised corruption in Ukraine. Reminder that Zelensky has presidential immunity.

The recent 30 billion payment to Zelensky from the EU was paid by Germany alone as no one else would stump up any cash. It's thought unlikely Merz will be able to do that again.

The money will only last 6 months and Zelensky is already asking for more. The EU scheme to raise money in the bond market failed as did the plan to force all EU countries to contribute, hence Germany producing the money at the last minute.

And word is the hold up for any kind of a deal with Iran is because the US wants total regime change to a compliant, controllable Iranian state otherwise it's all been a waste of time.

So …

The Ukraine war could undergo a major escalation while the EU is distancing itself from Zelensky as the money flow to Ukraine dries up.

Meanwhile the US has its hands full in Iran contemplating mission failure and no exit strategy.

Back to the present day and Trump is back home and back to issuing dire threats but the world knows he has a very limited capacity to keep attacks going if they restart. Note the ceasefire has lasted longer than the actual hot war where the US expended roughly half their attack and defence missile capacity.

They can’t let that run to zero as it would take years to replenish during which time the US would be defenceless.

The only other alternative would be to fly bombers over Iran to drop dumb bombs but that will mean huge losses of US men and machines.

Meanwhile Iran staged a drone attack on the UAE nuclear power plant.

It was a precise strike on the plants back up diesel generator that is essential safety equipment for controlling the plants safe shut down if there was any serious malfunction of the nuclear reactor itself.

Trump warns Iran “the clock is ticking” but this is by now typical Trump projection, the reality is that the clock is ticking for him.

US inflation is now up to 4% and likely to be twice that within a few weeks.

The NYT recently upped their estimate of Iran’s missile and drone capacity from 70% intact to 90% intact which is quite some distance from Trump’s ‘totally destroyed’.

Trump pause after UAE nuke power plant strike.

Important new interview with Trita Parsi on Trump’s latest social media posts (vid linked below).

Trump had signalled a major escalation was coming but saw the highly precise Iranian attack on the UAE nuclear power plant's essential safety equipment and suddenly backed down.

He is of course saying he’s delaying the new attack on Iran because the other Gulf states begged him not to because there was still hope for a deal with Iran.

Trump then went on to say that Iran making a nuclear bomb is really the most important thing (it wasn’t, they weren’t), but Trump saying it is gives room for a climb down eg. Iran gives up processing nuke material for 10 years not the 20 Trump was demanding.

Trump is also now saying that whatever he does the NYT will say he’s losing and Iran is winning so it doesn’t really matter what the final deal actually looks like.

Trump might be setting the scene for a major US climb down.

Iran proved they were more than willing and still have the capacity to take out major energy production facilities throughout the whole region proving all Trump’s rhetoric about the US destroying Iran’s decision making and weapons capacity was completely false.

Trump seems to have finally realised his threats just don’t work anymore, Iran just ignores them. But other than threats the US has nothing else.

That’s a fact because if they had anything even remotely viable they would have already tried it.

Perhaps Trump finally realises he has no choice but to make a deal.

So maybe sanctions will be lifted and the Straits open again as they were.

Trump has prevented Iran from making a nuclear bomb 🙄, and gets an agreement from Iran not to process nuclear material for some length of time.

‘So, all in all job done.’
Wait, didn’t Iran agree to all that before the war started?
‘Move along, nothing to see here.’

Re: WW3 Countdown

Putin's trip to China may be a precursor for the expansion of the Ukraine conflict.

Given western Europe's determination to keep the conflict going for as long as possible to the point where Ukraine is a corpse of a country controlled by puppeteer strings to continue attacking Russia.

Ukraine is now being increasingly used as a long range drone launch platform by which the EU UK can attack deep within Russia.

With the Russian St Petersburg International conference coming up German produced drones are flying over Baltic NATO country's air space to attack St Petersburg. Not only the Baltics, parts of Finland received emergency alerts last night to seek shelter as drones entered Finnish air space from the direction of Ukraine.

Ukraine needs US or European help to target their drones deep into Russia.

So why is NATO attacking Russia with drones and not even informing the NATO countries the drones are being routed over in trying to avoid Russian air defence systems?

So maybe now is the time for Russia to match the west's escalation and start attacking the drone making facilities in NATO countries directly. As said in a recent post, if Russia attacks a facility in a NATO country there is really nothing NATO can do other than to continue to attack Russia with their drones.

West Europe won't use nukes and they have few conventional missiles left, meanwhile the US has its hands full in Iran.

A ground invasion of Russia is out of the question so what can the west actually do when Russia starts to selectively strike drone factories in west Europe?

Zelensky will be pleased right up until he realises it would be the end of the SMO and the start of full war where Russia will steamroller right over Kiev and beyond.

But before any major escalation by Putin he would need to be sure he has China’s support because if China backs away and stops buying Russian oil Putin is in trouble.

Putin is in China now and no doubt a decision has already been made. A hint as to the outcome might have been China’s determined stance on Taiwan during Trump's recent visit.

China and Taiwan are synonymous with Russia and Ukraine.

Why are European leaders taking this doomed path?

Because they are too stupid and too deluded to understand the reality that in its current state EU and UK has no real capacity to meaningfully project power at all.

Anyone paying attention over the last 30 years knows this, how can our esteemed leaders not?

On top of that Russia has over the last 4 years stripped NATO of any remaining military capacity and driven the US away when Trump understood that they could not push Russia out of Ukraine (though the CIA is still active in Ukraine, they don’t take orders from Trump).

So now the EU UK wants to start a war but not really, it's all because they’re certain that Russia is weak and Putin is bluffing.

The EU UK is drunk on its own koolaid. Putin is dying of cancer, the Russian economy is collapsing and manpower losses are astronomical and they can’t recruit. All demonstrably untrue but if you keep repeating a lie year after year it must eventually come true, right?

Re: WW3 Countdown

Trump is back to the bellicose bullshit but threatening Iran with what exactly?

The war remains in it’s 2 day pause since Monday, or ELSE!!!!!!!!!

Or else what? Well more bombing of course. The snag is that the US already expended half their munitions reserve and got nowhere, so is he going to waste the other half and take US reserves to zero, and get to nowhere again?

The whole world knows Trump is trapped and is desperately waiting for the Iranians to throw him a bone so he can scamper off, but they just won’t do it. They really do want to humiliate him.

Trump says he’s in ‘no hurry’ which is true if he doesn’t give a fuck what happens to the global economy but time is running out for the US economy as well.

US oil reserves are depleting fast and Trump seems happy for them to hit zero but then the time bomb will go off even for the US. No more mechanisms for keeping the lid on the price of oil and the problem is no longer decreasing supply but actual shortage. Demand destruction will be forced, sudden and shocking, not just to the economy but to way of life.

No more cars or trucks, fuel rationed to emergency vehicles only.

So Trump is bluffing, he really can't let that happen and run the reserves to zero.

Trump presiding over another Covid destruction level disaster. And like Covid the disaster being mainly due to the response not the cause. Not to rake over that old topic but you only have to look at how Sweden fared compared to all the lock down countries to see who was right.

Peace from here is, as I’ve repeated often, very simple. Iran will open the Straits with release of frozen assets and sanctions relief (instead of reparations, much more money over the long term), and a long term peace deal to cap it off. Everything else is bluff.

Trump could easily give that but there is no ‘WIN’ for him at all – so he’s not going to, until he really has to when US citizens are really starting to suffer, so not just yet.

Not only will Trump not get his nuclear ‘dust’ but more importantly he’s not going to get regime change and a subsequent compliant Iran either which was the whole point of the war.

As we have seen over history the US would rather stay in a losing war for decades to avoid admitting defeat but this one’s different, the screws are being applied to the American people directly and they won’t be able to take it for long.

So instead of receiving a Nobel peace prize Trump will be vilified throughout history for causing the US to suffer it’s most humiliating defeat ever.

In the meantime the EU/UK have decided that they now do want Russian oil and gas after all and the sanctions and price cap be damned. The US just extended their dropping of sanctions for another month and the Brits have already started importing jet fuel and diesel from Russia.

And the Russians are close to taking the city of Konstantinovka which is the last fortified city of the oblast leaving only Kramatorsk and Sloviansk which the Russians only need to occupy the surrounding high ground to force capitulation, which is why they were never properly fortified in the first place. How long? Many observers are predicting by Autumn or by end of year.

And so complete the capture of the whole Donbass region which was the aim of the whole Russian SMO.
