People i am 12 years trader and i wand to aport my 2cnts to this valuable comunnity. I will give you my point of view based on my experience. "Fallow the trend" it is a crappy phrase "Check the estructure" other bullshit. The price move with fuel and that fuel is your money. The big boss in this bussines need your money to move the price soo you need 3 concepts:
1- Relevant zones ( Mark on high time frames when the price did a swing. Areas where they accumulate Stop Loss and pending orders $$$ )
2- Liquidity swings ( A candle with a wick that sweeps a previous High or Low)
3- Orders volumen ( A considerable number of orders coming in to that address )

The pictures provided and the concepts shared are my personal point of view based in my experience. I respect other strategic approaches. Does not constitute investment advice and is my own concept. Don't ask me for indicators or strategies. But I’ll save you the time of searching for thousands of indicators—believe me, I tested almost all of them.

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. The fuel/liquidity concept is really interesting! I won’t ask for an indicator or a strategy, just a few clarifications on the concept so I can better understand how you read the chart:

Timeframes: Which timeframe do you use to mark the relevant zones, and which one do you use to watch for the sweep and execute the entry (for example, zone on H4/D1 and trigger on M15)?
Zones: How do you define the swing that creates a zone? Do you use fractals or N bars on each side? And does the zone span wick to body, or just the wick?
Validity: How long does a zone stay valid? Does it expire after being touched once, or when price closes beyond it?
Sweep: By how much does the wick need to exceed the previous high/low? And does the candle need to close back inside the zone to count?
Order volume: Which volume do you use (tick volume, real volume, order book)? How do you define “a considerable number” of orders, for example a multiple of the average?
Your chart: What do the cyan and orange marks inside the red and blue boxes mean? And what’s the difference between the thick and thin boxes?
Confirmation: Once all three conditions appear, what do you wait to see before entering? And what invalidates the setup?
Assets: Does this work the same across different instruments (gold, forex, indices) and in any session?

Thanks again for contributing to the community!

Cladi53, congratulations on the 12th anniversary... I like SMC... But that’s a simplified story... The real "Holy Grail," however, is usually: risk management, consistency, psychology, and long-term data—not just a candle with a wick. Respect that different approaches work for different people and traders, and don't dismiss them as nonsense. Market structure is a journey; you know the start and the finish... you can figure out the rest... How, for instance, can a scalper operate without market structure? (Provided they know how to map it correctly, of course)... but anyway... moving on... Do you have access to real order flow? Or do you use volume, tick volume...? Liquidity certainly plays a role—and what about macro data, interest rates, hedging, fund rebalancing, algorithmic market making...? I agree about HTF zones—they are essential—and that institutions need a counterparty to fill large positions, making retail stop-losses very tempting targets... I mean this in a good way :D
learn to use the indicator first, then trade...

Hello how are you? and nice to meet you. I dont said just a candle with a wick. I said Volume orders too (order flow). Risk management, consistency ( years of study, chart watch and backtest) , psychology (You lose your fear when you trust your strategy.) with 12 years of experience, I’ve already moved past that stage but of course is nessesary and As I said, I respect other strategies, but I don't share them.
