This is a tradingview indicator : Moving Average Cross; Linear Regression by bestindicatorsever

For length of short and long regression 2 periods are plotted, I want 4 periods instead of 2 periods so that extra 2 periods can be used for higher value which will help to take decision during rangebound/sideways market

Please help me do add 2 extra periods in tradingview code

The arrow can blink until there is more confirmation of a reversal, such as maybe the live candle close low or high of the arrow candle and whatever else can confirm a reversal.
There is already alert on confirmed level, just mark it with a vertical line and setup your trade, I don't think this indicator should be used as an arrow signal, I´d rather use it as a level, just my opinion, I am moving on to other indicators now.

https://www.tradingview.com/script/2sBh ... -BOSWaves/

It did not came up as pretty as it appears in tradingview but it does what´s it´s supposed to, level prediction. Authors description : "Market Path Forecast [BOSWaves] is a swing-calibrated probabilistic directional forecast system that derives its target price, forecast duration, and cone width entirely from the statistical properties of the instrument's own historical swing behavior, where the path cone, level placement, and forecast horizon all adapt continuously to the accumulated record of completed swings rather than applying fixed ATR multiples or arbitrary projection distances."

The HOTT LOTT is based off Anıl Özekşi's OTT - Optimized Trend Tracker.

This particular version has two lines of Optimized Trend Tracker which uses the HIGHEST price values (HOTT) and LOWEST price values (LOTT). The difference with this version is that the OTT uses a CLOSE price.

Guys I don't think this part is right for the upper channel

Code: Select all

if (MaType==ma_vidya)  valH[i]        = iVidya(MathMax(iHigh(NULL,0,iHighest(NULL,0,(int)PriceH,HLPeriod,i)),iHigh(NULL,0,iHighest(NULL,0,(int)PriceL,HLPeriod,i))),MaLength,VidyaSmoothPeriod,i,0);
      else  valH[i]        = iCustomMa(MaType,MathMax(iHigh(NULL,0,iHighest(NULL,0,(int)PriceH,HLPeriod,i)),iHigh(NULL,0,iHighest(NULL,0,(int)PriceL,HLPeriod,i))),MaLength,i,Bars,0);
and this for the lower channel

Code: Select all

if (MaType==ma_vidya)  valL[i] = iVidya(MathMin(iLow(NULL,0,iLowest(NULL,0,(int)PriceH,HLPeriod,i)),iLow(NULL,0,iLowest(NULL,0,(int)PriceL,HLPeriod,i))),MaLength,VidyaSmoothPeriod,i,1);
	  else valL[i] = iCustomMa(MaType,MathMin(iLow(NULL,0,iLowest(NULL,0,(int)PriceH,HLPeriod,i)),iLow(NULL,0,iLowest(NULL,0,(int)PriceL,HLPeriod,i))),MaLength,i,Bars,1);

I did something like this

Code: Select all

double hi   = high[ArrayMinimum(high,HLPeriod,i)];
      double lo   =  low[ArrayMinimum( low,HLPeriod,i)];
         wrk[r].valH = iCustomMa(MaType,hi,MaLength,i,rates_total,0);
         wrk[r].valL = iCustomMa(MaType,lo,MaLength,i,rates_total,1);
unless I am missing something please let me now, anyway, did a version too.
Hi mrtools,

Sorry to bother you. I am not a programmer and I do not speak English, so I wrote this message with the help of an AI translator. I hope that is okay.

Thank you for sharing the "Hott Lott (candles + btn)" indicator. It is
very useful.

I am referring specifically to your post here:
post1295497775.html#p1295497776

In that post, you uploaded the file named "Hott Lott (candles + btn).ex4". This version works perfectly for me, especially regarding the distance between the upper and lower lines.

However, I have tried downloading all other versions available in the thread, including:
- HOTT_LOTT_005
- HOTT_LOTT_005 1.1
- HOTT_LOTT_005 (alerts) 1.11
- HOTT_LOTT_005 (alerts) 1.12

None of these match the behavior of your "candles + btn" version. In the alerts versions, the upper line is always too far away compared to yours, and changing the settings does not fix it. Since I cannot edit code myself, I am stuck.

Could you please share or upload the .mq4 source file for that specific "Hott Lott (candles + btn)" indicator from the link above? Having just that one source file would solve everything for me.

Thank you very much for your time and for sharing this useful tool.

Best regards,
[frex98]
