Hey guys! Been a while since I've posted here.
I've been playing around with Gemini Pro 3.1 and managed to port this indicator successfully to NinjaTrader 8.
While I was at it, I also managed to add in some extra features:
- Visual dots to clearly show when the VertexValue line breaks through the upper or lower Bollinger Band. You can modify the color and size of these dots, along with how close or far away they are from VertexValue itself.
- Regular NRP bullish/bearish divergences. You can choose the Swing Strength (the number of bars), along with altering the thickness and color of the lines. Alternatively, you can choose to not have divergence lines show at all. And there's even a nifty option where you can have divergence lines show ONLY when one of the two points of connection has VertexValue breaking the upper or lower Bollinger Band. The only major change I had to make was intentionally shifting the divergence lines 1 bar forward so they would match up with the up and down peaks of VertexValue.
Above is the micro E-mini S&P500 (MES) 1-minute candlestick chart, taken from price action on July 10th.
Pretty cool, if you ask me. This didn't take long at all for Gemini Pro 3.1 to get right and there were a few compilation errors it easily fixed on the second try.
Something worth looking into for the MT4 version?
