Hello emanuelmb10.
Yes I took that short for 50 pips too.
Trend is down, market had come back for 203.50,
Closed above it, once it came back I got in.
Closed @ 203.00
I told you we'll be taking entries at the same price 😉

As you get older 3 things happen. The first is your memory goes, and I can't remember the other two.

What’s missing from this image below is the half quarter point between whole numbers, the “fill” option seems to cover the over/undershoot already in my opinion!

Please and thank you 🙏

Hello WN25

Nice theory but little bit of a long wait if you aim for 1000 pips and take your TP at 250.
I've got discipline in trading but that much discipline I don't have 😄.
If you do , yes by all means but maybe trade
D1 or H4 to get to those targets.

Quite the opposite is what I was implying forgive me!

So essentially what I'm trying to call out is the range around the whole number, the half points, and normal quarters, the "1000" pip range is just what wrote on that picture, along with the 125 pip range (small half quarter points) the 500 pip range would be the major half quarter point. Very interesting concept, it did help me a lot when i first started trading but like a few others, I've been too interested in the shiny and new things, however this grounded me once more.

My SL and TP are pretty simply with this mind set, like you're saying taking an entry on a round number, I could miss the first entry, i could catch the retest of the over/undershoot zone, take a look are the RED areas where price bounces, and take a look at the pink lines i have as well, these are the "25" pip ranges of major quarter levels, or half points. Zones that price fails to enter a new quarter point or reverses back into what it was already in.

The quarters theory goes further into the "3 days" cycle where price aims to go from whole number to whole number. "As we see most Monday- Wednesday then price reverses or continues. I've always enjoyed the quarters, this just brought it back to my attention after i stopped trading due to personal reasons!

I just thought it would be good to share, since I can see this both WITH and without the markings.

Good read even if you choose not to!

Edit:
Addressing TP, typically I'm only aiming for the Half point, and the next "quarter" point (125/250) and that's the biggest trade i try to capture, however with compounding you really only need 25 pips! (I do dislike conversions of different brokers etc because its a bit wonky to navigate.)

Anything that works for you my good man.
I personally would go for 50 pips minimum.
Anything less then 50 feels like scalping to me.
When trading GBPJPY, EURNZD, GBPNZD even
50 pips feels like scalping. Those are some movers 😄
As I've said before, we all have different appetites.
If you're content with 25 pips per trade,
then buy all means, you go for it and don't let anyone else influence your style if it works for you.

God bless.

Hello traders.

Let's talk about the automatic Fibos we have on our charts.
Since we refer to the high and the low of the past 2 weeks, I would suggest you
have on your charts 240 H1 candles/bars showing.
(120 hours of trading hours in a week x 2) as the Fibo automatically picks
the top and bottom of the data visible on your screen.
I hope you've noticed how it changes the colour when it flips once the new top or bottom appears.
It is a very sophisticated tool TBH.
Once it detects a new top it will turn red signaling to get ready to go short.
The same thing will happen with a new bottom, it will turn green signaling to get ready to go long.
Use this to your advantage.
Unfortunately we can't change the values to Gann levels but they are very close to Fibos anyway,
as 50% is a Gann level not a Fibo level. They just included it the fibo levels because it works so well.
Keep that in mind. Gann said you could make a fortune by just trading 50% levels.
He dedicated a whole page to 50% level in his book 45 years in the wall street.
He just talked about other levels like quarters and thirds but half was his main level.

That's all for now.
God bless.

Hello and thank for the wonderful templates, the only thing I request is to please share the automatic Fibo you mentioned.
Thank you and God bless
