The nation's favourite Jewish Nazi Volodymyr Zelenskyy has decided to rename his special operations unit after the heroes of the UPA who were tasked with the ethnic cleansing of around 100,000 Polish Jews during WW2.

For some inexplicable reason the Polish government, who have given Zelensky billions in cash and equipment as well as housing millions of Ukrainians during the conflict are a bit upset at the renaming.

So upset are the Poles that they’re even considering revoking the country’s highest honour they awarded to Zelensky for his efforts in the war against Putin.

The Polish president said "Glorifying the UPA has provided Russian propaganda with ample oxygen for disinformation, but also is it disinformation when you see that this is where these units may want to be?"

Meanwhile Angela Merkel just announced that she hopes the war won’t go on for another 10 years. Err, yeah right. I’m sure most will agree. Shame she was involved in starting it by promoting the expansion of NATO right up to the Russian border.

Onto the Ukraine war proper and the general consensus now is that Putin is about ready for a major escalation, it is generally accepted that the US is out of the picture for good and that western European leaders are not able to defend themselves militarily let alone go to Ukraine’s aid.

All west Europe NATO can do they are already doing which is helping Ukraine fire their (EU/UK) drones deeper into Russia which is only irritating the Russian people who are putting pressure on Putin to do more.

A recent Bloomberg report reluctantly concluded that the attacks on the Russian oil refinery infrastructure has done nothing to stifle the Russian economy at all.

There is talk now of a substantial Russian army force building up in Belarus ready to attack Kiev after the expected upcoming big missile and drone strikes on the city have encouraged the people to leave.

Onto the middle east and nothing is happening, Trump can’t attack and he can’t retreat.

To restart the war Trump would use up all the US stock of missiles leaving them with nothing for at least 3 years which would give US enemies around the world free rein to do whatever, the Pentagon will simply not allow it.

And Trump’s own ego won’t allow him to admit defeat so he, like Zelensky, is waiting for a miracle though unlike Zelensky Trump’s not receiving bags of cash while he waits. Instead the reserves of oil he’s using to keep Japan and South Korea afloat are dwindling.

The deal the US made with the Asian countries is that they must return the oil barrel for barrel at a fixed date in the future but the war is going into stalemate with Iran not getting sanctions relief or their frozen assets returned but are getting $2 million for every ship they let through which is nearly just as good.

Meanwhile the US may as well end their own blockade as it’s not helping anyone especially not the US. Looking increasingly like the US will end up walking away and leave it to the UN to sort out. Even Israel seems to have turned away and is now more interested in Lebanon.

Israel issued a public warning for the Lebanese people in southern Beirut to evacuate for their own safety.

US SoS Rubio approved the Israeli escalation because of Lebanese attacks on Israel.

In response Iran issued a public warning to the people of northern Israel to evacuate for their own safety.

Iranian officials also stated the peace talks with the US were now over after continuing violations by the US and Israel.

President Trump meanwhile said everything was fine and the direct talks with the Iranians were going well and they were very close to a deal.

Trump did actually seem to have stopped Israel from attacking Beirut.

Anyway, China with the largest oil stockpile are going to be the winners of this war and Iran a close second while the US and Israel are going to be the losers by a mile.

In Ukraine rumours abound following US pro-war senator Blumenthal’s visit.

The word is that Zelensky agreed to CIA instructions to replace army chief Syrsky with ex-intel chief Budanov after the fall of Konstantinovka.

This would redirect the Ukrainian army to a more asymmetric force better suited to a guerilla role fighting the Russians after the fall of the Donbas.

In actual news as reported in the UK Independent newspaper both Zelensky and Budanov both said recently they expected the war to end by winter through a negotiated settlement.

Presumably that will be after the long expected crashing of the Russian economy (currently on course for plus 2% GDP this year), or due to the astonishingly horrific Russian war losses as reported by Zelensky having reduced the total Russian population to just 3 people.

Meanwhile, Russia has commenced its bombing campaign on Ukrainian ‘decision making centres’ in the major cities of Kiev, Kharkiv and Dnipro.

And the US think tank ISW see the Russian advance has stalled but is neglecting to notice that the Zap oblast city of Orikhiv and the Kharkiv city of Lymen have been surrounded and are currently under intense bombardment while between them the city of Konstantinovka is not only surrounded but has been half cleared by the Russians.

This gives the Ukraine army a problem because they can only mount 1 counter attack at a time so they must choose. Wherever they do counter attack the Russians usually pull back to give time to amass more forces in the area before moving forward again.

This tactic does slow progress but keeps the Russian losses very low compared to pre-2025 as noted by the Mediazona chart posted recently (recorded names as opposed to ‘estimated’ losses) and in direct contradiction to the made up Ukrainian claimed Russian losses so gleefully repeated by US and UK intel agencies and the western media.

Big PR exercise going on regarding Ukraine’s efforts in the war. This is to back up Zelensky and Budanov’s claim that the tide has turned and Putin will be begging for a peace deal by winter.

If only the west will supply a few more patriot missiles and a few more billions for the cause.

For a start the Ukrainians have stepped up their drone campaign except that according to an anti-Putin media outlet records show Ukraine is firing less drones in 2026 than 2025.

And they're firing drones further into Russia, but that is more likely because the closer targets are better defended and anyway the drones are doing less damage because they need to carry more fuel.

Their main targets are the Russian oil refineries but none have actually been destroyed and most are back up and running within 2 weeks.

The Ukrainians have also started to attack petrol tankers on the main highway to Crimea, there is usually a fuel shortage there at this time of year because it’s a holiday destination for Russians. The Russian military actually uses the railway they built several years ago so the attacks are on civilian vehicles.

The optics of petrol queues play well with the oil refinery strikes suggesting Russian oil is being hit hard but as the recent Bloomberg article pointed out Russian oil earnings are actually unaffected.

Then there’s the
reports that Ukraine is pushing the Russians back on the battlefield which is not really true. The Russian advance has slowed as they have surrounded 3 Ukrainian cities and are in the process of capturing them. Added to that the Russians moved to within 10 miles of the other 2 remaining cities in Donetsk (Kramatorsk and Sloviansk). Russian drones have already been spotted over Kramatorsk.

So there is a concerted PR effort to convince the world Ukraine is now winning and there could be a negotiated settlement by winter, but why?

The reason is that Ukraine is now totally dependant on the European elite and the European elite have absolutely convinced themselves Russia is losing and will lose eventually and it’s up to Zelensky and his gang to keep the charade going.

And so everything that comes out of Ukraine is solely for the optics, nothing must be allowed to pierce the European elite’s bubble.

Obviously the Russians are not impressed by Zelensky’s antics but they really don’t care, all the Ukrainian fakery helps them, why spoil it until it’s time to move on.

There are rumours that Putin is going to make a big announcement at the upcoming St Petersburg business conference that he is going to upgrade the SMO to full war status which opens up a much less strict legal framework with which to work in.

Very interesting analysis in video below also looking deeper at the longer term of both the Ukraine and Iran conflicts, doesn't bode well, the only way out of the US debt trap is more war.

Does Iran already have NUKES?

Reports from multiple sources that Iran does have nukes and that within the most recent communique to the US via Pakistan from Iran was the threat that if the US escalates further then Iran would demonstrate that fact.

The speculation from the Iranian side is that the threat will make Trump back down because of the total humiliation it would cause that the main stated point of the war was lost.

Iran just needs to trigger a nuke in the remote Iranian desert and the whole point of the war disappears. It would be a total rug pull from under Trump’s feet that he would never recover from.

Robert Barnes in video below on the Iranian nuke story plus plenty of Trump family and friends corruption stories that even has the Biden boy blushing.
