Hello, I created an ICustom indicator for RCM, specifically version 2.00, not 2.10 (because I created it a long time ago).

This is an experiment to test the MTF Strength Panel and convert it into a market scanner. It's not a fully featured indicator, so it doesn't include an alert system or anything like that. I thought it would be a good idea if the indicator had that feature, but the decision is entirely yours.

I think this mechanism could be implemented as a completely different indicator alongside RCM.

It sometimes freezes due to the large number of currency pairs it detects. You can display the strength of the current pair or multiple pairs using the "-" and "+" in the corner of the panel.

Thanks for the suggestion and for sharing your experiment.

I want to be honest about what RCM really is and how it compares to CSW.

The repainting mode in RCM was made to copy the original CSW behavior, and it gives the same lines and values. So in terms of what you actually see on the chart, the logic is the same.

That also means CSW is not doing some special multi-pair currency-strength calculation in the way people sometimes claim, or at least not in any way that changes the lines it draws. If the same result can be created from the current chart symbol alone, then that is effectively what the indicator is doing.

The original logic repaints a lot, which is why the last 20 candles can keep changing as new candles appear. That is why I made the non-repainting version, so that once a candle closes, the signal is more stable and a cross on a closed candle is a real cross. You do not need to wait for the lines to spread far apart to confirm it like in the original logic.

The downside is that if you want the indicator to repaint less, it will react more slowly. If you want it to react faster, it will become less stable, giving you more false signals. There is no perfect fix for that. My non-repainting version is the best balance I could make without turning it into a completely different indicator.

So maybe the real value of RCM, even in the non-repainting version, is not as a standalone "secret formula", but more as a support tool used together with other confirmations.

That is also why I keep wondering whether turning the same core logic into a scanner would really improve anything, or if it would mostly just organize the same type of signal across more pairs and timeframes.

Question:
If I make a scanner, would it make more sense to build it around the TMAs from Beatle's Millionaire Maker strategy instead?

For example, would something like this make sense, or am I looking at it the wrong way?

Bullish setup (EURUSD)
  • Repaint TMA above non-repaint TMA
  • Non-repaint TMA is green
  • Green currency line (EUR) above red currency line (USD)
  • Red momentum bar reaches -20
Bearish setup (EURUSD)
  • Repaint TMA below non-repaint TMA
  • Non-repaint TMA is red
  • Green currency line (EUR) below red currency line (USD)
  • Green momentum bar reaches +20
This would mean the scanner only looks for the best conditions on the current timeframe based on Beatle's Millionaire Maker strategy. It would not check the higher timeframes to confirm that signal automatically. You would still have the MTF Strength Panel, so you could use that part yourself for extra validation.

I am not an expert in this strategy, so I would really appreciate more feedback from you guys before going in that direction.

Thank you for being honest about RCM and CSW. That actually makes me trust the tool more not less.

Speed and Stability is a zero-sum tradeoff. You cannot have both. A scanner built on the same strength logic would just multiply the same limitation across more pairs — it would not solve it.

And I think you are looking at it the right way, my personal opinion: building it around the TMA conditions makes more sense than strength alone, because the four conditions together create a genuine confluence filter . The missing higher timeframe check is not necessarily a weakness either — that is exactly what the MTF panel is there for.

ultimately, you know the logic best — if this direction feels right, I think it is worth pursuing.

Looks really, really good. Just one question: Is the Repainting mode level for the currency lines to touch hardcoded, or can the user change this level? I have noticed after using the CSW for a very long time that the currency lines can cross, but not cross the 20 level for quite a long time. This may result in a very late entry or even a missed entry.

Excellent work! ;) :Fire:

By default it’s set to 20, but the user can change it in the settings. In the screenshot, it's the option labeled "Repainting mode only: Currency Lines must touch this level". So if 20 feels too strict and causes late or missed entries, it can be lowered for earlier signals.

That filter only applies to Repainting mode. In Non-Repainting mode, the cross is already a real cross, so extra line separation is not needed.

This seems really comprehensive for a first version; I can't wait to try it. Thank you again for the excellent work you've done, especially the no-repaint mode.

Hi BeatlemaniaSA. In one post, you said that money management is the main thing. Could you describe your approach to money management when you have time for it. do you use doubling, martingale. locking, etc. Working with different indicators, I am increasingly coming to the conclusion that they show the same thing. But the main king of indicators, in my opinion, is the moving average. Thanks
