Use whichever you feel most comfortable trading with.

@Cagliostro will be best suited to give his expert opinion regarding the difference/similaries between the two. ;)

With the default Standard profile, the Adaptive Kalman can indeed sit very close to EMA 21 on many charts. That is not something introduced by the MT version, and it is not a conversion mistake. The original Trading View version with its standard settings shows the same behavior as well. In other words, this is inherited from the original design, not something added later.

The important point is that the default profile is deliberately conservative. It gives a smooth and familiar baseline, which is why it can resemble a classic EMA on a lot of symbols and timeframes.

If you want to see the Kalman character more clearly, the settings that matter most are:
Measurement Noise and Model.

Useful starting points:
Standard 500 = conservative
Standard 310 = more responsive
Parkinson 824 = smoother swing profile
Parkinson 235 = more volatility-adaptive
Volume 235 = more activity-adaptive

Personally, I do not use it as “another EMA”.
I use it more as a dynamic baseline / state filter:

Bottom Line:
So the EMA21 similarity with defaults is real.
It is just not the whole story of the indicator.

Is there any chance that you (or anybody else) have a standalone ATS Dynamic Value Line.ex4 indicator?
I am asking because I want to build an MTF version using iCustom().
I can't use the ATS V6.ex4 because it has too many input parameters.
iCustom() only accepts 59 external parameters (excluding the default ones) and some parameters further on the list automatically get plotted on the chart which is annoying and unnecessary for a number of reasons. So, without the ATS V6 source code, I can't do anything.
I can create an MTF ATS Trend V1 based on this ex4, so the best solution is to have a standalone ATS Dynamic Value Line.ex4 indicator...
This is what I mean: The Panel on the right tells us if price is above or below the given Trend Line.

Hi. What is this mini chart indicator on the right side? Can you share it, please? Thanks

Hello Friends!
First, many thanks For sharing the Beats V5! I am new here!
I am also new to MT4, but due to that i can have ATS i seems stuck with learning

I an trying to get the ATS assistant to work, but i have hard time to get it to work. it looks like the chart is bleeding through it.
Which version do you people recommend when using Beats V5 ?
I have ATS Assistant V6,
I have tried also V3
My MT4 version is supplied via broker 4.00 build 1471, maybe this is the reason
I have hard time loading it even if i don't use Beats V5, so i know its not Beats V5 that is the problem Br Denjeveln

Hi there, welcome to forex-station ;)

First off, the ATS Assistant has to be loaded onto a separate chart. DO NOT load it onto the chart you trade on. Then switch between charts when you get an alert/signal. I have used ATS 6 and ATS 6 Assistant. The versions of ATS available on the form work with the latest MT4 version. So, it is not an MT4 issue. Just make sure you have Beats V5 set up correctly as per the instructions and that the required library files for ATS are placed in the correct folder.

Also, it looks like the NO CANDLES option has been selected in the ATS options. Make sure it is set to Standard Candles or Hybrid.
