I've succesfully installed debian 13 on VMWarePlayer, with VMWare Tools working (Main OS is Windows Server 2022).
It also works on the VMWare Workstation which is free now (main extra benefit are the Snapshots).

Was wondering if you could help with this plan:

I'd like to install multiple MT5 and MT4 platforms in the debian 13 VM.
Or make two separate debian 13 VM clones to keep MT4 and MT5 separate (since each clone would only be about 25-30Gbs when running).
How would you suggest you'd best do it for your use with your systems?

I haven't installed the MT5 platform in the debian 13 VM yet. What's the best way you'd recommend installing MT5 and your system in debian 13?
I think I read some time ago you mentioned using docker, but that seems complex for my skills level or too much maintenance (though it seems to be very valuable to use a docker image compared to a VM for the Drive space saved).
I'd prefer if possible using VMWare for the ease of use (just cloning and using snapshots for testing if needed).

Or if possible/available, could you please consider making VMWare VMs for your major releases we could just download and be done with (I see the debian 13 VM is about 12 Gigs when closed so it should be fast to download with some program like IDM).
I could do it and share the VM clone but it might be more reliable to get it from you the source for everyone to enjoy from an official VM dedicated releases post/thread! That way we'd just download it, open it in VMWare Workstation/Player and just trade directly without tweaking/setting up any thing. Using your exact settings and not changing anything, at least for the first few months/weeks of trading, exactly like you do it explained here

It would also be a considerable time saver and positive tweaking restriction tool to simply share a VM copy. No more users errors in installing to handle (time saver). And new users could just start using the VM right from the get go without making any change for the first few weeks/months at least (or ideally for me at least and other minimalists never making any change if possible), to combat the tweaking habit impulses.

If you want I can upload a clone of my debian 13 VM and share a download link for you to test directly on VMWare Player/Workstation to save you time, or if you prefer I can share the tutorial I used to install it (it took about 30 minutes to install).

This time I used the classic mt4 code.

I will update this file so that the code is not so messy, but I need to see if something else won't stop working again. There are always older versions of semaphores for MT4 from Xard.

I'll also leave you the versions from claude ai because it's a never-ending loop, one ai corrects the other. If you are not sure that the calculations will be correct, use the old version from Xard.

I found this excellent thread and have read thousands of posts (but, to my shame, not all of them)... I'd like to thank everyone who has been so disciplined in their interactions here, and especially those who have put in so much effort to develop such a great system, particularly XARD, who tirelessly shares his knowledge with us all.

I made my first attempt today and came out with over 50 pips... I'm thrilled because I've been trying to trade unsuccessfully for many years.

I have just one question: I'm using the "XU 2nd DOT Edition" version. Isn't there a scanner for currency pairs so you don't have to click through all the currencies every time? I read that there's something like that for MT5, I think it was version 68 or something, but I only trade on MT4.

On your question: there are no scanners for MT4/MT5 — that I know of.
Since you’re new to the system, the best move right now is to focus on one pair. It’s not a limitation — it actually makes the workflow easier and more consistent:
• You learn one market’s rhythm fast: same behaviour, same pullbacks, same DOT‑3 structure.
• No more clicking through charts — you watch the setup form in real time.
• Cleaner entries because you’re not constantly switching context.
• Repetition builds pattern recognition, which builds consistency.
Successful (professional) traders don’t jump around dozens of charts — they stick to a small handful of pairs they know extremely well. Xard’s system fits that logic perfectly: keep it simple, keep it focused, let the structure repeat.
You’re off to a strong start. Keep it tight and the workflow will become second nature.
