Re: 🔺 MT5 XARD - Simple Trend Following Trading System

Thanks for the info, my HomeLAB has gone under considerable changes and is 100% Python based -- now I know why it was so eager to convert to cTrader lol.

I will look into it probably later today or Monday at the latest.
If the indicators port and run smoothly then I will use cTrader -- the last thing that I want to do is spend time fighting code -- I want my daily routine back and if cTrader is the way then so be it.
Best,

I had problems today with these indicators:
XU RSI MA1 indicator is too slow, 2375 ms. rewrite the indicator, please

XU_DailyRangeWithBackground indicator is too slow, 2110 ms. rewrite the indicator, please

I asked Gemini 3 Pro to take a look and it came out with these. At least now it works like a train toilet

Yeah, I have been seeing the same problems and asking myself do I keep fixing them or do I switch to an alternative and only fix once.

I had abacusAI for a while, but its Gemini 3 Pro was already pulling over 1000 lines of Pinescript translation. I asked Google's antigravity Gemini 3 Pro and the code was shortened to about 350 lines.

I asked abacusAI's Gemini 3 Pro for their opinion on the antigravity Gemini 3 Pro translation, and they said that they liked the antigravity Gemini 3 Pro translation.

I DO NOT believe that abacusAI's Gemini Pro is as good as Google's own antigravity platform

Same here. I saw from XARD, Abacus and Cursor, but now I’m fully on Antigravity. Been paying the $20 a month and honestly… it’s miles ahead of everything else I’ve used. Wouldn’t even hesitate to pay more for it. A couple of my buddies switched over too and none of them ever went back.

Honestly, with cTrader I don’t see the hype. I can already push orders to MT5 from my local machine with very low latency, no issues there. The real problem is position tracking — if you run multiple entries on the same pair, MT5 just nets everything into one position and you lose individual ticket control. No matter what you do, it all sits under a single ID.

Other than that, I’ve got zero complaints. I don’t place SL/TP on the broker side anyway — I manage risk externally — so from my side MT5 actually works better. Broker can’t see my stops, execution is fast, and the setup is solid. The only real downside is MT5’s netting model killing multi-position management.

and lastly mt5 is widely available whereas most brokers still dont offer ctrader
