Re: Moving Average indicators for MT4
3912Hello Dear Programmers. Can you please modify This indicator to have Max Bars option to limit its calculations? As it is very heavy to use in EA optimization takes too long. With my little Experience it is not easy to modify MTF indicator to limit Bars.
Re: Moving Average indicators for MT4
3913Hello, sorry doubt adding a max bars option is going to help, someone added the so-called extra timeframe filtering and would imagine this is causing the problem. Would be highly unlikely to work in an EA this way.dato896 wrote: Thu Dec 04, 2025 8:13 pm Hello Dear Programmers. Re: Moving Average indicators for MT4
3914yeap I did as well but didn't help to reduce optimization time so I though I did something wrongmrtools wrote: Thu Dec 04, 2025 11:46 pm Hello, sorry doubt adding a max bars option is going to help, someone added the so-called extra timeframe filtering and would imagine this is causing the problem. 3916Hull Moving Average Triangular EMA
This is a Hull moving average based off a Triangular Exponential Moving Average.
Not to be confused with the Triple Exponential Moving Average (TEMA), the Triangular EMA was developed by Patrick Mulloy in 1994.
It does not have a triangular form, the term triple refers to the three layers of EMA smoothing which dramatically reduces lag and is essentially built using three EMA's.

3918good but I prefer low lag than smoothnessmoey_dw wrote: Tue Dec 09, 2025 9:25 am Huh mrtoolz I never seen this type indi........... triangular ema but it's not tma it's a wizardry!!!! Smooth smooth smooth![]()
it needs to be close to the price, yet to have low number of reversals, it makes it not smooth most of the time (smoothness = lag)
