It's looking increasingly clear that the 28 point peace plan is nothing more than a diversion. Rubio is waving off objections it's not a US plan at all, whatever, there will be no agreement on it in a year let alone 7 days.

Either Trump is working some secret play and the peace plan is just cover or the whole thing is just another panicky attempt to withdraw the US completely from the total mess that is ‘Project Ukraine’ before the fast approaching AFU collapse.

Word is that Zelensky number 2 Yermak will be charged with corruption by NABU within days, note Yermak is currently meeting with Rubio in Geneva. If Yermak is that deep in then Zelensky can’t be far behind.

None of this is coincidental, the pressure by NABU has to be to ‘help’ Zelensky into accepting the 28 point plan.

‘The leaders of the Kiev regime, after it was revealed that they were profiting from the war while ordinary Ukrainians were barely making ends meet, turned to the US and European allies for help the Washington Post reports. Ukrainian authorities fear that criminal cases and real prison terms await them.’

Anyway, and back to Geneva where the west are once again negotiating with themselves in order to put together a business type ‘take it or leave it’ deal for Putin.

The west has no understanding of how diplomacy works anymore, you need back channels to slowly hammer out an agreement. You don’t just keep presenting plans that ignore what the other side actually needs and offer stuff they don’t really care about as an alternative.

So Rubio and the Europeans and Yermak will come up with an offer to Putin and it will be rejected, again.

The Trump admin involvement is a complete waste of time unless it's to force Ukraine to stop losing now because if they don’t they will keep losing more.

Westerners returning from Russian trips all say the Russian public are right behind Putin and are fully confident that if they don’t get what they need at the table they will get it on the battlefield.

Trump himself, in a very recent interview, admitted the fighting may need to continue for a while yet but it will be without US intel for Ukraine and sanctions placed on Ukraine and more for Russia.

There is no business with Russia that can be sanctioned anymore and guess what, it’s been the best thing that ever happened to Russia, no longer do they follow the west, now they lead themselves and are far better off for it.

The Russian economy has been booming as Russians step into the gaps left by the departing western businesses.

Nothing is going to change until the Ukrainians are hurting so bad they need to talk to the Russians themselves.

Note that Ukraine army’s Deepstate map has stopped any updates in the Pokrovsk area while negotiations are in the offering (no doubt still telling the Americans they are winning) but independent mappers using geolocated videos have Pokrovsk captured by the Russians and Myrnohrad completely sealed off and totally encircled.

The Ukrainian army’s Deepstate map (DSM) is putting Ukrainian troops in serious danger according to pro-Ukrainian Willy OAM on his Youtube channel.

The mappers are often not updating regions of their maps for weeks at a time if that update would show Russian gains, this especially happens at time of diplomatic negotiations.

Willy OAM cited a post from a Ukrainian soldier in the field who was confused as to how the Russian frontline was actually 10 miles beyond even Deepstate's gray zone let alone where they put the Russian frontline.

Pro-Ukrainian commentators happily believe without question the lines DSM draw and somehow completely ignore dozens of geolocated videos (often of Ukrainian army origin) showing DSM to be wildly wrong.

Proof again that if you truly want to believe you will find a way.

Propaganda helps, Putin ALWAYS lies, Zelensky ALWAYS tells the truth. These little mantras will carry you far in the face of actual evidence to the contrary.

Meanwhile, on the diplomatic front Rubio is doing a great job collapsing Trump’s efforts to stop the conflict. Once again he has decided to let the Europeans in to spoil any chance of forcing Zelensky to admit the obvious and to encourage him to carry on losing instead.

Whatever the original version of the 28 point plan was, the latest rewrite is just the same ‘Russia must surrender’ western peace plan as all the previous ones of the last 3 years.

Rubio is Trump’s second term Bolton, doing everything possible to sabotage any peace efforts and make sure profits keep flowing into the MIC coffers. A card carrying neocon if ever there was one.

The bottom line is that nothing will come of this latest peace plan because it’s the same as all the others.

Trump will continue to search for a way of avoiding an Afghanistan style catastrophic defeat on his watch while not actually being in control of any of the control levers, the US deep state neocons have that.

The Russians will probably do both. They certainly have the manpower and the momentum while the Ukrainians put up a constantly decreasing level of resistance to stop them.

Not that Zelensky cares. He can only see as far as his next cash shipment.

Yesterday I spoke of Zelensky not caring about the propaganda site that is the Ukrainian army’s Deepstate map and how it puts Ukrainian troops' lives at risk all for the sake of optics.

The same can be said for Zelensky’s insistence that there is never any tactical withdrawal as we see repeated again in Myrnohrad. Again optics are more important than lives, and so better Ukrainian troops die buried in a basement under a Russian 3000 kg FAB bomb than be seen to be surrendering.

Their bodies will never be recovered after all and Zelensky can say they sneaked out when the Russians weren’t looking.

To repeat again, this war is already over, except for the dying. The Ukrainian defences were built by the west over the years since 2014 and were concentrated around the Donbas.

If they fail in the Donbas there is nothing else. It was always said that if it came down to a war of attrition then Ukraine could never win, but somehow that’s where they find themselves and it’s true, Ukraine just cannot ever win from here.

It’s almost as if we in the west are now living in the 1950s Soviet Union while the Russians are now living in the 1970s US.

A responsible leader would have saved what they could and come to terms a long time ago.

Hiding the true Ukrainian death toll is paramount. Which is why they keep repeating on TV that it's the Russians who are dying, not the Ukrainians, no actual evidence is needed so long as you keep repeating the mantra.

Propaganda needs to be repeated over and over to make it stick.
