This is a natural market slope or momentum using all the averages I have for pre-smoothing. For the default smoothing can use Tema. Indicator also has an option to use double smoothing for more average choices.

PS: Just noticed g-channel is not working for smoothing, but far as I know the rest are working. If you are new to OCN indicators, please take a look at: What are Ocean Theory indicators?
Better indicator than the original MOM/ROC when using TEMA for pre smoothing as you said because using TEMA reduces lag vs both SMA & EMA I find your posts with suggestions really alluring Mrtools!! 😍😍😍

Am I bad to suggest we no longer have much need for G Channel in the All Averages? It seems to be a fad that has now faded...... but members & staff please correct me if I am wrong perhaps we could scrap from the All Averages if it causing bugs in coding!!

Big profits if you took the long signals only in GBPJPY using this alone during london/us sessions......

it seems to give an excellent idea of market direction (even without smoothing - so the lag isn't much of a problem)

This is the same as above version but added Mladen's high/low channel and a signal line. The bars/dots on the zero line represent the ocn nms crossing the high/low zero line. Coloring of the ocn nms line can be either by slope or signal line crosses.

About the channel from Mladen:

This version is keeping the signal line intact but is changing how the zero line handling and is adding levels that are not usually known to MACD. It uses the highest high and lowest low of MACD (nnn) bars back to calculate a sort of dynamically changed zero line, early levels up and down and trend confirmation levels up and down. By adding these non-fixed levels, the MACD becomes faster in response to market changes and the MACD trend assessment has less false signals.

Of course, this version is using Ocn nms instead of Macd.

ps) the averages used in pre-smoothing have a double smoothing option, so actually have double the number of average options to choose from.

Sir,
I would like if you make this indicator keeping as it is only mtf , interpolated and middle line may be color change on slope.
no extra smoothing or averages.
Added mtf and mid line coloring.

As Mrtools explained, the OCN NMA SD is a Bollinger Band using Jim Sloman's "NMA" Moving Average. The NMA smooths prices (adaptively) by using Momentum Weighting to capture the market's "natural" rhythm.

Cynthia Kase's Kase Peak uses Volatility-Normalized Momentum and is designed for finding overbought and oversold trades.

Basically, in Mladen's version of the NMA follows price closely when the momentum is strong and when momentum is low, it'll smooth more slowly. It's like a self-adjusting Moving Average.

The Kase Peak looks for peaks (or momentum exhaustion) whenever momentum exceeds limits as explained in the PDF that Mrtools posted.

Was there something about the two indicators that made you think they were sort of the same?

PS: Here's a mock up chart. You could set the OCN NMA SD to a channel as seen below by reducing the SDup and SDdown to a lower Standard Deviation like 0.5.
