Simple things in life are often the best.

For those struggling with the CCI period setting:
Even if you set the period to, say, 5000, the CCI line will still display for any currency pair. The issue is simply that there’s no historical data available. To make it visible, just scroll back through the chart’s history. Keep pressing the scroll-up key to go further back in time. Once you reach the beginning, the CCI should appear. If it still doesn’t show up, try scrolling further back again.

This way, you can unify the period setting across all currency pairs.

Another thing I didn't mention ;
When the market moves past the zones you have drawn over the weekend, either up or down,
feel free to adjust the zone lines to current prices as then you have new zones formed.

For those using mt5. Im using the following indicators. I modified the Fib indicator for your strategy firesword: Easier to flip through the charts. It also tracks new highs/lows, when a break happens. You can flip the sides and modify the settings for your needs.

EURCAD
SL =30 pips
TP=95 pips
R:R=1:3
Stop loss hit= -30 pips
- AUD $341.00
Onto the next trade.

I was browsing around for CCI’s on here but I don’t even know what it is so I just looked until I found one that resembled the 1800 Period you have set

Is there a way to determine I’m using the correct period for other pairs?

I mainly trade
XAUUSD
US30
NASUSD

Thinking about adding a few more pairs once I have more time, I prefer set ups I don’t have to think about. Referencing Cagliostro‘s test of his Alkemix I may try GBPNZD and GBPJPY


As for why I picked some of these other indicators? I’m addicted to candles changing color when things align now, so I took Kvak’s CCI candle for starters, all the rest were found by typing things I felt would match in MT5 threads

To be honest, you can trade this system without CCI ( Commodity Channel Index) .
When the market gets into the zone and reverses, you can draw a trendline and enter on the break and set SL above or below the zone.
CCI is just for easier confirmation of entry. I like my charts clean so I draw lines on CCI,
but in all honesty, CCI is not that important.
If you have an indi that confirms reversals, feel free to use it.

Just used what I could find, I’ll check later when I get home if there is a normal CCI so I can also do this, I want to draw trendlines on it for confirmation as you demonstrated

Any indicator divergence might be used, or pure price action analysis at resistance levels to confirm a reversal, but that should well work mostly on currency pairs. They mostly range, but that is not guaranteed. So, it is better to take a look on the weekly timeframe first to see "the big picture", if the weekly bars are mostly overlapping, or they are trending, and each new week breaks the boundaries of the previous week range. Only when one asset is ranging or consolidating then this system may find resistance level with significant reaction. Otherwise, the SL will be more likely hit before the target. Even so volatile asset as XAU when was consolidating for the past few months is a good candidate for this system, but when started trending, it is better to use trend following system, not the one that expect a reversal.
