🚀 "Fractal Traffic Light" – The Ultimate Rule-Based Strategy for Precision & Profit! Project Magnum Opus Alchemicum

1
Hello, everyone.
I've been a bit busy over the last 3 days and have also been testing another strategy passed on to me by a friend for cTrader that I'd like to use alongside this one, although I'll have to look at two platforms for now (pending some conversions I plan to do in the future).

The strategy I’m proposing works as follows, and the rules are strict:
âś… No timeframes other than the 2-minute chart are considered.
âś… It uses a fractal timeframe system, meaning it starts from 1 month, 1 day, 1 hour, and arrives at the 2-minute chart.
✅ The higher timeframe dominates the lower ones. This should already be known, but it’s better to specify it to avoid misunderstandings.
✅ Therefore, if the oscillators visually indicate that the monthly trend is bullish, we must wait for the "traffic light" alignment (here I’m referring to the green or red colors of the oscillators—not to be confused with Xard’s traffic light system, as they are two different things) to turn green before entering. This traffic light system must also align with the Averages Rainbow and preferably with the G-Channels. I’ve added an extra layer by including Xard’s VWAPs from the v013 package.
✅ Of course, if there’s an alignment opposite to the monthly dominance, it doesn’t mean you can’t trade—just be cautious, as it’s likely a counter-trend move before the monthly trend resumes.
âś… The screenshot best illustrates this objective, multi-timeframe fractal traffic light concept of mine.

I’d love to see this strategy grow, as I believe it could revolutionize the future of trading, especially as it continues to be refined over time.

Let me know your thoughts!

This would be the ultimate histogram set up. I haven't seen something like this which uses such a sophisticated selection of histograms. Older systems out there would lag big time, with the histograms being from questionable sources but this one is very neat.

Going to use it more with it this weekend on the open markets.

Thank you brother.

Update to Version 2 with the Addition of Two New VWAPs from the v014 Xard Package

The folder "Magnum Opus Alchemicum vxxx" must be placed in \MQL5\Indicators\Magnum Opus Alchemicum vxxx. I forgot to mention this earlier, but I assume you were already aware.

Thank you, Jimmy, for what you wrote. I truly appreciated your words.

Behind the creation of this objective, non-interpretive "traffic light" system—which doesn’t claim to always be profitable, as that’s an impossible condition—lies a long period of observing market behavior.

During my observations, including testing indicators of questionable usefulness, I arrived at key insights after incorporating the Averages Rainbow and a single oscillator: The Oracle by the legendary Cagliostro.

I noticed that when the Rainbow compressed, a signal from The Oracle often appeared. At first, I didn’t pay much attention, as I was focused on searching for other indicators or oscillators. But after adding the G-Channels, I began to observe this consistency more clearly. At the time, I wasn’t yet using the 2-minute chart.

One day, it occurred to me: Why not apply fractal time theory?—comparing 1 month, 1 day, 1 hour, and 2 minutes—and fix the chart to the 2-minute timeframe instead of jumping between timeframes like "a monkey swinging from tree to tree"?

This led to the adaptation of TRAMA and Kivanc’s Supertrend into the MTF Histo. If you notice, the 2-minute Supertrend is almost synchronized with The Oracle on the same timeframe. The real effort wasn’t in modifying the code but in finding the optimal settings to align it as closely as possible with The Oracle.

Once this foundation was established with the three oscillators, I tested others and eventually added Precision Trend and PPO Extended.

I would genuinely love to collaborate with everyone to refine this system into the definitive version—without taking credit away from others for their contributions, past or future. For me, trading should be as objective as possible, minimizing subjective personal judgment.

That’s why I decided to release this high-level strategy, which exclusively uses the 2-minute timeframe—no others are needed. The traffic-light system acts as a scanner, and when alignment occurs, the Magnum Opus Alchemicum takes place—the alchemical magic of the trend. It’s a breathtaking moment when price action becomes explosive.

If you have suitable MTF oscillators to test, feel free to add them to this post so more users can experiment and provide feedback. Indicators are welcome too, but they shouldn’t compromise the visual simplicity I aim to maintain—priority goes to the traffic-light signals, while indicators serve as additional confirmation of price position.

Best regards,
Thoth

Just a quick note I forgot to mention. While not everyone may be aware of this, it’s worth pointing out: The Oracle might sometimes show a white histogram with a "No Signal" message. To fix this, simply increase the HowManyCandlesToDisplay value in the indicator’s input settings—that should do the trick.

If certain histogram bars fail to appear, try switching to a higher timeframe (e.g., 5 minutes), wait for it to load fully, and then switch back to 2 minutes. This issue occurs because of the large number of oscillators running simultaneously. Eventually, I plan to optimize the converted indicators by combining them into 4-in-1 versions to minimize the number of chart windows (I don't know when I'll get there. I'm not good at programming yet, and this is really complex).

If you run into any other problems, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best regards,
Thoth

Special thanks to Jimmy for adding this system to the Daily Downloads: Indicators & Trading Systems of the Day list.

Upon closer review, , an MTF Histo version of X-Stoch would work perfectly. It adds significant weight to the objective mechanics, providing further confidence in the actions about to be taken. Here are some of the trades with the X-Stoch confluence, which passed with flying colors.

Please add the X-Stoch file to the "Magnum Opus Alchemicum v002" folder and the templates to their respective folder.

Update to Version 3

Hi everyone,
I have created the Supertrend MTF Histo 4 in 1—an exclusive version for the MOA package with pre-set timeframes. Theoretically, it should work without any issues.
If any problems arise, please let us know.
Best regards,
Thoth

Thank you, Pamc, for your kind message. It’s truly rewarding to hear such feedback. What we’re building isn’t just a benefit for users—it’s equally meaningful for us as creators who rely on the very systems we develop. When we collaborate, everyone gains. Progress accelerates, ideas flourish, and the system evolves more efficiently. This isn’t a competition where one project must overshadow another; it’s a shared journey toward improvement.

You, the users, are just as vital as the programmers. Your contributions—whether through thoughts, questions, or feedback—are invaluable. Every perspective helps refine and strengthen what we’re creating together.

My personal goal has always been to weave together diverse ideas into a functional, practical system—one we can put to use as quickly as possible. Since my return, this project has been my focus, and the time invested has already repaid me in personal fulfillment. Admittedly, balancing this commitment with time for myself and loved ones hasn’t always been easy, and for that, I do feel some regret. But I’m confident the future will bring far more flexibility—and far more time—than I ever had before embarking on this trading journey.

Here’s to moving forward, learning together, and building something great.

Best regards,
Thoth
