Ciao pyloop, I have tried this it just doesn't work. In my opinion, it means your plotted data is real time which goes against the concept of Ichimoku. I am no expert and maybe someone could give you a better explanation. You can check it yourself by taking the Ichimoku indicator and changing the setting to '0' which is set to 26 normally and see the results. Also, again in my opinion, Ichimoku works best on a 4hr or higher time frame. Anything lower is just not viable for trading.

Kijun experiment.
In this indicator have two function of Kijun original calculation and modiffied calculation, I call it Kijun of price.
In this Kijun you may choose price to calculation.
Also in this indicator Kijun may be adaptive/filtered or smoothed by calculation.
In first picture is original Kijun (red/orange) with Kijun of price close same periods.
On second picture is Kijun of price adaptive ( green/red ) and nonadaptive ( blue/yellow ).
Upgraded version, added 3 state ( neutral ) coloring as request.
