HappyRe: XARD - Simple Trend Following Trading System

Today: Missed the first trade because I'm not using the smaller dots as 2nd dot entries (the 9 in the XardUniverse sema settings). Though I've been thinking the Lucky Reversal (big gold line, smaller squiggly lines) may be valid entries when they appear at the same time (its really just sema set to 36 and 9). Not using them for that, just observing for now. Exited at the next lucky reversal line because although I couldve let it run for another few minutes, I had to be afk for a minute. best to close it on a lower timeframe if you cant babysit it.

 and yes, I know there's no entry/exit on the chart. Broker has me stuck using tradelocker for the time being. I have to trade like this.

Thanks to Xard and Curioso and a lot of folks I cant remember right now. I've been lurking a long time (since like Xard007). If you see some thanks on some old posts, it's prolly me.

Still simplifying XU v68m... see enclosed charts.

I am not telling traders what to do, all I am doing is giving traders options.

Hello xard777,

Nice wallpaper, the way you choose the colors is amazing.

Once upon a time :)

sure. Also added (and posting here) the order that you place the indicators on the chart.

7 times out of 10 when someone loads someone else's template into their MT4 but indicators don't show on their screen, it's because the template file put them on the chart out of order. I hope including the right order helps eliminate that.
also, that SL/TP indicator, I don't remember what it's for exactly. I saved it on MT4's Default template and just never bothered taking it off. feel free to remove it.

lost 2 trades in the circled area and called it a day.
" what happened!?"

I got impatient. Jumped into trades as soon as price crossed the 16 EMA after the 2nd dot.

ALWAYS wait for a candle color change.

Yes, it's good trading time when session open/close overlaps, but don't go expecting price to reverse right before a session closes or opens. "Its a traaaaap!", in the immortal words of Admiral Ackbar. If you got a big semafor right before the end/beginning of a session, wait until the next one starts.

I don't mind posting losses, even dumb ones. We can all learn from them (well, not all of us lol)

Fresh sema arrows on 1M are weak.
Sema arrows on 1M are weak in any case.
You need a clean zig zag structure.
You shorted with green candles, but I also see a bullish supertrend. Right?

If I can give you an advice, start on 15M and learn everything about this wonderful system. Then you can go to 5M.
This will remove a lot of stress and mental pressure from your trades.

Hello Hyral,

Your template is very nice visually, but there are aspects there that I think you're missing to help the way you do business. Because sometimes it can look nice, although I don't know it or which version it is, it seems to me that there are some very important aspects missing.

For example, I'm only using the xu v65m where it has the minidots that help me better understand the entry and exit points.

My suggestion to you and to many members who may not understand how to trade M1 and why it works for some and not for others. Start with post #1 there is a lot of material that explains a lot of basic concepts, which helps you understand the logic better.

But don't ever go into real money, learn first, for example a good way to start is use the strategy tester, but not right away in M1, start with M15, completely master the system for 15 days to 1 month, then move on to M5 and the same routine, then move on to M1, and even start developing your trading methods.

Patience, discipline, and not thinking that M1 is about opening and closing positions all the time - that's false. It's waiting for the right moment that makes the art of high gains.

What do you think of this challenge?
