Zelensky has spent the last 2 weeks looking for mediators to a peace plan having said in interview the 'hot' war must be over by November (same month as US election, no coincidence).

But his new plan is the same as the old plan (Russia must surrender) which he knows is not going to happen. Commentators think his actual plan is to hold out till November (add another 90,000 Ukr troops dead or severely wounded) and then blame Trump for having to give up eastern Ukraine for peace.

If Trump gets the blame then Zelensky hopes the west Ukr Nazis won't assassinate him like they promised if he made any such deal with Russia.

Ukraine has given up trying to mobilise new troops in numbers needed to replace losses.

Ukr leaders are already admitting the F-16s will not change anything. Only 2 will be in the air at any one time and they will stay far away from the front as Russian planes have twice the radar range and twice the missile range to shoot them down. The F-16s have been demoted to an anti-missile defence role.

Across the board now in western media is the realisation Ukraine are losing this conflict but many still hold out hope because they believe the made up Ukr figures for Russian losses and think perhaps that may make Russia just give up.

Not going to happen because the Ukr figures are completely fake. Some Ukr commentators are trying to tell us that Ukr has a 10 to 1 kill advantage, seriously, in an artillery war where Rus has a 10 to 1 artillery advantage, and where Ukr troops are retreating, often on foot across open fields under artillery bombardment. The Ukr military are clearly projecting their own losses.

Reminder too that Russia still have not committed the 200,000 reserves that even Ukr say Rus has waiting in Ukraine. The fact is they haven't needed them, the Rus goal is not to force Ukr to surrender but is to wipe out the Ukr military so it can never threaten Russia (and Russian speakers in eastern Ukraine) ever again and that's exactly what they're doing. At some point the Ukr military will completely collapse and, as NATO are not going to send troops, Russia has all the time in the world.

Defense forces of Ukraine struck an enemy submarine and S-400 anti-aircraft missile complex in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
So, according to confirmed information, yesterday, units of the missile forces, in cooperation with units of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, significantly damaged 4 launchers of the "Triumph" air defense system.
Also, in the port of Sevastopol, the submarine of the Russian Black Sea Fleet "Rostov-on-Don" was successfully attacked.
As a result of the impact, the boat sank on the spot.
For reference. Submarine B-237 "Rostov-on-Don" (according to NATO classification - Kilo class) is one of four submarines of the "Kilo" class, capable of using missiles "Kalibr".
"Rostov-on-Don" was commissioned on December 26, 2014.
On September 13, 2023, as a result of a Ukrainian missile attack, the ship was seriously damaged.
Later, it was repaired and tested in the water area of ​​the Sevastopol harbor. The cost of the submarine is estimated at 300 million dollars.
The destruction of "Rostov-on-Don" once again proves that there is no safe place for the Russian fleet in the Ukrainian territorial waters of the Black Sea.
