It is safer to trade in the direction of your larger (control or trend) timeframe. In your screenshot you decided to trade on the 30 minute timeframe. Its control timeframe would probably be the 4 hour timeframe. What was the XARD system showing for the 4hr timeframe at the moment you decided to trade?

Also, your risk is wild. Your {open trade} to {stop loss} distance, your risk, should be something manageable, say 2% or less. If you had applied that, your maximum loss would be 2% and not the 16%+ shown on your screenshot.

With version 66, the DE40 was always in a downtrend.

I guess it's going to breakout to the upside when New York Stock Market opens and the Unemployment news is released.
But hey! Just watchout...in case it continues downwards.
It's usually highly volatile!

I definitely have to go over everything. Thank you very much for opening my eyes.
do you use the indicator below to confirm its entry along with the ema 20?

To be honest, I rarely look at the indicators below.
I'm more of a PRICE ACTION man.
I mainly focus on what price is doing above.
I'm ALWAYS watching the interaction between price and the moving averages and OHLC

would your trades look like this in the screenshot below?

It depends on market conditions. I usually aim to open my positions within the 20 EMA channel.
The moment I start seeing BLUE bars around the Moving averages or Pivot, I'm in.
The DAX is extremely fast. Sometimes I get late entries if it gaps up.
I also have other tools which tell me what's happening and when to get in.
I always keep an eye on a strength meter and multi-timeframe indicator.
Once I see the 30mins and 1Hr are aligned...and BUYERS are 75% strong, I'm in.
